- Houjou, upon hearing that a man named Shouichi Tsugami has tamed the uncontrollable beast that is the G3-X, asks Ozawa what sort of man he is. "Height: 2 meters. Weight: 100 kg. A man who can shatter boulders, with a computer for a brain," she replies. Houjou is noticeably impressed. Later, he meets Shouichi for the first time... The look on his face is priceless.
- Also, Hikawa's reaction to Ozawa choosing Shouichi. First, Hikawa challenges Shouichi to a tofu-picking-up competition to prove that harmony beats discipline. Hikawa treats it as Serious Business, but when he loses badly, he gets flustered ("Why am I picking up tofu in the first place!?") and calls Shouichi a criminal because he's an amnesiac who drives a motorcycle, claiming that amnesiacs can't get drivers' licenses. Shouichi then pulls out his license and calls Hikawa on his Critical Research Failure, prompting Hikawa to get even more flustered: "What do bikes and licenses have to do with the G3-X anyway?" "You were the one who brought it up!". The entire scene works perfectly--it starts off nice and peaceful and then goes completely off the rails as soon as the tofu appears.
