- Catharsis Factor: The Villain Protagonist's crimes of kidnapping and brainwashing women to be Sex Slaves is unquestionably evil. However, most of the women Donny targets are complete Asshole Victims. To sum up: Lieri is an arrogant military official that is willing to break the rules and make false reports to get what she wants, Naomi is a violent sexist that engages in Police Brutality, Alicia shares the same level of arrogance as her friend Lieri, Kilia is a Colonel Kilgore who treats her underling like dirt, Kila is a sadistic Sociopathic Soldier (even though this was due to how her parents raised her), and Beatrice is a mass-murdering warlord. As a result, the humiliation and brainwashing that Donny puts them through feels more deserved than if they were straightforward Hero Antagonists.
- Darkness-Induced Audience Apathy:
- Granted, most people only come here for the sex scenes, but it is still hard to deny this series suffers heavily from this trope, due to the fact that there are no characters to root for, which is inevitible since this series runs heavily on the Evil Versus Evil trope as well. Donny Bogan, the series' Villain Protagonist, is a rapist, misogynist, and a vindictive sociopath who subjects his female victims to rape, torture, and brainwashing, meanwhile most of the female characters Donny and his men rape and abuse are very corrupt and cruel for a number of reasons (See Catharsis Factor above). As a result, it can be pretty hard for most viewers to care about what happens next.
- Zigzagged with the Kangoku Academia spin-off. The protagonist actually has a halfway-decent Freudian Excuse rather than acting out of pure misogyny and resentment, having watched his family die in planetary war, and both heroines are stand-up ladies who the story makes clear shouldn't really be held responsible for the horrible things that happened in said war, even promising him to use their influence to try to get him justice. But because Albert's stewed in hate until he's cooked clean through, he's too far gone to care, and the story is still about him sexually torturing them to get twisted revenge, so it's not necessarily much better.
- Ensemble Darkhorse: Due to her kind nature, especially in a series full of sociopaths, Maya Cordelia has the most fans, to the point where she would later become a playable character in Taimanin RPGX.
- Evil is Sexy: Kilia, Beatrice, and Kila are all easy on the eyes, despite being villainesses that somehow manages to be even worse than Villain Protagonist, who is a misogynist rapist. This can also be argued for Lieri and Naomi, who are A Lighter Shade of Grey compared to Donny, but are still pretty corrupt in their own rights.
- Nausea Fuel: Every game has a scat scene near the climax signifying Donny's triumph over the women he brainwashed. It gets more gruesome with each game.
- Fandom Rivalry: Amusingly with Lilith-Soft other space based game Hyouryuu Kangoku Chronos. Due to the similar names, many fans tend to mistake that game as a Spin-Off to Kangoku Senkan, leading to a lot of confusion. A few fans can't help but debate on which of the two series is better than the other.
- Woobie:
- Maya. While Donny's other targets are arrogant, violent, or full-blown villainesses, Maya is actually a genuinely caring person with noble ambitions. This in turn makes her brainwashing feel very undeserving. Adding to the fact is that only reason she got in Donny's way was to save Alicia from being kidnapped. If the player wants to be really sadistic, they can potentially lead Maya to her (non-canon) Cruel and Unusual Death, based on the choices that are made throughout the KS2 visual novel.
- None of the main cast in Kangoku Academia are totally unsympathetic. Julia Bloodstone and Eliza Pearlman aren't complicit in the crimes the protagonist hates them for (the worst that can be said is that Eliza did kill his dad, and even then, it was because he was an enemy soldier in wartime), and even Albert himself is clearly a smart, capable guy who could've done great things if he weren't too far gone by the time of the game. In the end, he even seems to realize that doing the things he's done haven't really made him happy or brought him the satisfaction he expected, but he decides the answer is to double down and join Boghan's misogynistic crusade rather than rethink his life.
