- There was much rejoicing when the official Twitter account announced that all costumes, including the anime-related ones, are available to all territories, not just Japan.
- Not to mention the fact that Tara Strong, much beloved voice actress extraordinaire, was voicing Juliet.
- All the costumes (aside from the handful of preorder costumes) can be unlocked in-game. It's true! [1]
- Awesome Music: To be expected from Akira Yamaoka.
- Base Breaker: There are people who dislike Josey (aside from being a villain, that is) for having a boss fight that is only two stages long. To put it in perspective, the other Dark Purveyors get at least three.
- Crazy Awesome: You have a cheerleader fighting the undead with a chainsaw, she carries around the severed head of her boyfriend, the style of the game is a mix between teeny pop and Gorn, then things get weird.
- Speaking of that severed head thing...she did it herself.
- Complete Monster: Swan, who uses being mistreated by others and scorned by the girl he was stalking as an excuse to create a Zombie Apocalypse and Kill All Humans he can.
- Ear Worm: The Chordettes' "Lollipop" strikes again in the reveal trailer.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: In order to get currency, the gameplay mechanic is known as "Sparkle Hunter". Can anyone guess the name of the character Tara Strong voices that relates to "Sparkle"?
- Stop Helping Me!: Rosalind commandeers a wrecking ball to help Juliet in stage 5 — and quickly becomes a bigger threat than the zombies. Do note this is commented on in the game.
- This Is Your Premise on Drugs: What else to expect from your game designer on drugs?
- X Meets Y:
- As stated in an interview, the game is pretty much Dawn of the Dead meets The Powerpuff Girls. Made even more hilarious considering our protagonist was a Powerpuff Girl in the past.
- Alternatively it is Dead Rising meets OneChanbara.
- What Do You Mean It Wasn't Made on Drugs?: ....Well, knowing Suda 51 it's actually possible it was made on drugs.
- ↑ It's also a sad commentary on the state of gaming to get excited over extra costumes being unlockable (like the old days) instead of paid DLC.
