Manaworld

Manaworld is a long-running pornographic Web Comic series created by Scratch. The series is set in a Fantasy universe very much inspired by Battle Chasers. It mostly focuses on Syx, a formerly evil elvish queen who, after spending a millennium in the Demon planes, is summoned back into the mundane world, but stuck with cursed manacles that force her to comply with any sexual demand she is presented with.

While the main comic focuses on the (mis)adventures of Syx and her attempts to find a way out of the magical shackles, side comics flesh out the lives of other characters who interact with Syx, like the pirate captain Veronika Red or the Catgirl thief Roxy, and other inhabitants of the world.

Tropes used in Manaworld include:

• Absolute Cleavage: Most of the female characters, most notably Captain Red.
• Action Girl: Captain Veronika Red knows how to handle herself in a swordfight and does so regularly.
• Anything That Moves: Whether it is a man (Three-Legged Pete, some island natives), a woman (Syx) or a machine (a Battle Titan)... if it can give her an orgasm, Veronika Red is willing to screw it.
• Bare Your Midriff: Syx's (and most other characters') standard outfit.
• Bad Boss: Rickard, the wizard who summons Syx into the world and sexually enslaves her. He has no qualms about ordering Syx to perform sexual favours to others in lieu of him paying them, no matter how much Syx protests that she does not want to do so.
• Break the Haughty: Syx was an absolutely amoral evil queen. A millennium as a slave in the demon planes has led her to radically changed her behaviour, making her a much kinder and more empathic person who cares about others and who has decisively relinquished her evil ways.

• Breast Expansion: Happens to Roxy in Belling the Cat Girl, much to her enjoyment.
• Butt Monkey: Syx, at least as long as she is owned by Rickard and especially in the side comics. No matter how innocent the set up, it's pretty much guaranteed that Syx will end up in a sexually compromising situation.
• Chainmail Bikini: Syx wears one during Heavy Metal.
• Classy Cat Burglar: Roxy may not be classy, but she is a Catgirl and a quite effective thief.
• Cool Ship: Captain Red's ship, The Queen's Desire, was built by Elven geomancers and it can heal damage on its own if given enough time.
• Darkest Africa: N'gundo is pretty much this.
• Does Not Like Men: Major Kyra Kaines is a lipstick lesbian. Makes the fate Red bestows on her even crueler.
• Dragged Off To Hell: Happens to Syx back in her days as an evil empress after the mysterious stranger sends her to the demon planes.
• Easter Egg: A lot of them are hidden in the artwork.
  • In Something Borrowed, Something Green Syx wears a bikini that's a copy of Leia's chainmail bikini from Return of the Jedi.
  • In Heavy Metal Syx wears a chainmail bikini that is a color-swapped version of Red Sonja's bikini.
• Erotic Dream: Syx has one at the beginning of Something Borrowed, Something Green involving Darius Sporto and Captain Red.
• Everything's Better with Monkeys: An enslaved Major Kyra is finally traded to a N'gundo shaman who has bonded his spirit to a gorilla body. Red starts furiously masturbating when she learns what this means for Kyra. For Kyra herself, of course, the trope it's brutally averted and rather more like Everything's Worse with Monkeys.
• Expy: Captain Veronika Red is one of Red Monika (down to the name) from Battle Chasers.
• Fanservice: It's an erotic web comic, so this is pretty much a given in every story.
• Fantasy Contraception: One of the benefits of the Syx' cursed manacles is an extremely powerful contraceptive effect. Which Syx doesn't really see as a benefit.
• Fantasy Counterpart Culture: N'gundo is an expy of every cliché you have ever heard about Africa below the Sahara.
• Fantasy Kitchen Sink: The world is big enough that, if a fantasy writer has conceived of it, it can be incorporated into the series: among other things, it contain Steampunk robots, demons, gods, angels, underwater cities, pigmen and cowgirls, magical card games, trolls living under bridges, Frankenstein's monsters and more.
• Gratuitous Rape: As a pornographic web comic, this comes up frequently.
• Go-Go Enslavement: Veronika Red dresses up Major Kyra Kaines like this before selling her to Doc Cemetri in N'Gundo.
• Green-skinned Fantasy Babe: Unlike their male counterparts, the Goblin King's wives from Something Borrowed, Something Green are very, very attractive young women who just tend to have green skin.
• Heel-Face Turn: Syx once Rickard summons her from the underworld.

• The Hunter: Felix main occupation is as monster hunter, as he himself explain in In the Red.
  • The Breaker Brothers are this in Pay or We Play. At least as long as you pay them for it.

• Innocent Fanservice Girl: It's not like Syx doesn't enjoy sex, but she enjoys it on her terms, and with people she likes and that treat her well. As much as she hates her shackles, she does not dress any more conservatively once she escapes from Rickard.
• Most Common Superpower: Depends on the artist, but the comics in general are very much at home in the oppai sphere. So much so, that a girl with a D-cup might develop A-cup angst.
• Naughty Tentacles: Syx is accosted by them in many side comics. Special mention to the demon Demagon from Old Friends.
• Porn With Plot: Tells an ongoing story with evolving characters that would also work without the copious amounts of sex... not that the readers complain.
• Really Gets Around: Everyone in this comic is pretty ready to jump into bed with other people at the drop of a hat.
• Shameful Strip: Red forces one on Major Kyra Kaines in Red's Revenge when she cuts open Kyra's top. She has promised her man some free-swinging breasts after all. Kyra afterwards fight while trying to cover up her breasts.
• Series Mascot: Syx.
• Spell My Name with an "S": Depending on the comic you read, it's either "Veronika" or "Veronica" Red. Same with Major "Kyra" or Major "Kira". At least Kandi is consistently spelled like Candy with a "K"... oh, and an "i".
• Stock Punishment: Valla finds herself in this in Pay Or We Play. It's not the worst thing to happen to her in the story.
• Talk Like a Pirate: Captain Veronika Red tends to talk like this, with "Salt me tits" being her favorite expression.
• The Paladin: Although his behavior hides it well, Felix is actually a (relatively) devoted avatar of the goddess Lythandra, making him a paladin in all but name.
• True Love: Syx and Red really fall for each other and them parting ways is heartbreaking.
• Aren't You Ravish Me: Major Kyra after Doc Cemetri's treatment. Though she hates every second of it and expresses it mentally, her mouth involuntarily begs every man she encounters to have sex with her.
• Word of God: A lot of additional information about the world does not come directly from the comics but from Scratch explaining things in additional documents on the website, in the Discord or in the past on his Tumblr.
• Witch Doctor: Doc Cemetri in Port Zwinga on N'Gundo is one.
