- Moral Event Horizon: Chris, about the point he kills Nola, his own unborn child and Nola's elderly neighbour - the latter being described as "collateral damage", whom he killed first (while faking a robbery of her apartment) in order to make Nola's death look like an afterthought. Admittedly he spent most of the movie lying, cheating on his wife and ruthlessly scaling the social ladder, but until this point he'd come across more as an (admittedly unlikeable) Anti-Hero than an out-and-out villain.
