Mibibli's Quest is a 2D Flash Platformer/Shooter in the vein of the Mega Man series.
Basically, you play as a bipedal pig-like creature on his quest to go through six stages, defeat Mooks and Bosses, gain new powers, and overall survive. For now at least, that's the plot. The controls are fairly simple: Arrow Keys to move, Z to jump, X to fire your main projectile weapon, as well as five button combinations corresponding to the five abilities that you gain across the course of the game.
Overall though, as like with Mega Man series, this game is very hard with loads of the associated tropes involved. Moreover, what makes this special is that it was created using Stencyl, an Action Script 3 game creator, and under six days as a challenge. As a result, according to Word of God, the game is not yet fully complete.
This game can be currently played at here.
This game provide examples of:[]
- Airborne Aircraft Carrier: The entirety of the "Flying Crumbship".
- Blackout Basement: The second half of "Digital Land" has this. Which combined with the time-bombs makes it even more frustrating to go through.
- Bottomless Pit:
- Cyberspace: "Digital Land" is presumably this.
- Double Jump: A possible ability to use once the associated power-up is gained.
- Frickin' Laser Beams: The green fly like enemy can fire this. Combined with the fact that it's usually placed in areas full of enemies, areas with tricky platforms over a Bottomless Pit, it can follow you until it hits an obstacle, and being hit by the attack does a ton of damage and knockback makes this a prime Demonic Spider. Thankfully, the lasers can be predicted.
- Hub Level: It's where you first start out and can access the six levels from. Though, only five are accessible from the start and it is possible to die here.
- Nintendo Hard: Being based on and inspired by the Mega Man games, this is not surprising.
- Spikes of Doom: Prevalent in practically all six stages.
- Suburbia: The setting of the stage "Suburb".
- Super Not-Drowning Skills
- Under the Sea: The stage, "Water". Complete with (mostly) associated fish-based enemies and the ability to jump higher.
- Videogame Dashing: Comes with temporary invulnerability. It's also one of the two mandatory power-ups needed to complete the final stage. The other being the aforementioned Double Jump.
