Examples of "Psychic" Torture
- In one of the endings of the Heaven's Feel route in Fate stay night, a Sakura Matou who has fully gone the Dark Sakura path subjects her long-estranged sister Rin Tohsaka to this, mentally torturing her by inflicting on her the memories of her horrifyingly hard life with the Matou family nonstop. When Shirou reaches for the two, Dark Sakura motices that Rin completely broke down after experiencing solely the first day of what she went through.
Examples of "Mundane" Torture
- In Tsukihime, after the extremely violent awakening of Tohno SHIKI's(the real one) demon blood, he is "taken care of" by Synchronizer Kohaku. Meaning, in his insane state, he rapes her for the life energy that will help calm the demon blood. The utterly broken victim responds by using drugs, lies, and turning him against his father Makihisa (the one who started sexually abusing her in the same way) to make him her puppet who has absolute zero chance of ever recovering from his insanity and demonic blood. In Hisui's True End, this all finishes with Kohaku manipulating SHIKI into killing his sister Akiha, and then having the fake Tohno Shiki aka the Player Character (who's adopted) finish off the heavily wounded, thoroughly broken, and completely insane SHIKI, ending the Tohno line completely.
