- Everybody Remembers the Stripper: His first appearance is often over looked by the fact that he showed up mid-way through a storyarc involving Spider-Man growing four extra arms. This storyarc is considered one of the strangest stories in Spidey's career (and before Clone Saga and One More Day, was considered the worst).
- Ensemble Darkhorse: Maybe chalk it up to the general bizarre nature of him, or the Ugly Cute part, but he is a rather cult classic character.
- Wangst: You can bet that the issue of Morbius having to feed on blood and unwillingly kill people will be a source of angst and drama in almost every single series and appearance, occasionally with the flashback of him killing his best friend (couple stories have basically consisted only of flashback and angst about killing people).
