- Dawson Casting: If this were a show about high school and not middle school, this would be averted, but by the end of the series, many of the cast memebers were slightly older than their characters and it is noticeable, definitely not as badly as other shows though.
- Hey, It's That Guy!: It's Cliff the dodgy lawyer from Veronica Mars! And apparently Fairly Oddparents as well.
- Blaxpoitation star Fred Williamson shows up in one episode as a wrestling coach.
- Scoop voices Phineas.
- And he's Greg.
- Melissa Peterman, known for playing Dumb Blonde Barbara Jean on Reba, played Mrs. Splitz, the guidence counsellor.
- iTeacher's actress, Mo Collins, was an original cast member from Mad TV.
- Mr. Rosso is still a Hippie Teacher, except instead of being a guidance counselor he's the Computer Lab teacher and the Dungeons and Dragons Expy club sponsor.
- What Could Have Been: Before the High School idea, there were some pilots shot, where Cookie was a lot taller, and Moze had some differences in personality.
