Born in 1959 in Ibaraki Prefecture and active as a seiyuu since debuting in 1982 in Cybot Robotchi. Older fans of him know him as Kamille Bidan in Zeta Gundam or Akabane from GetBackers. Newer fans probably know him as the "I Love War" Major in the Hellsing OVAs and Zetsu of the Akatsuki from Naruto. Regardless, Tobita-san is well known for voicing smooth villains. (That of course does not include Kamille.)
Not to say that's his only forte, though. Should he take the leap for ANOTHER TYPE, he does well for voicing big guys, comic relief guys such as Bleach's Cloud, Flame of Reccas Domon, or memetically... Disgaeas Captain Gordon, DEFENDER OF EARTH!
