Où le regard ne porte pas (roughly translated as "where the eye does not reach") is a graphic novel by Georges Abolin (most notable in the West at large for being one of the animators of Disney's Disney/Tarzan). The story follows four childhood friends - William, Nino, Paolo, and Lisa - whose lives seem to bring them together no matter how far apart they've come as adults. At the center of their near-mystical bond is a clay charm that seems to take them back in time, to different ages and different places.
