  • Hey, It's That Voice!: Sam's voice actress in most of the games is Pamela Segall/Adlon, the same voice of Bobby Hill from King of the Hill, as well as Spinelli.
  • Name's the Same: Sonic the Hedgehog The Movie also has a place called the Land of Darkness. (Bizarrely, Pajama Sam in No Need To Hide When It's Dark Outside was revealed at E3 on the same day as Sonic the Hedgehog The Movie's initial Japanese release.)
  • Non-Singing Voice: Quite obviously the sock from the fourth game.
  • The Other Darrin:
    • For an unexplained reason, in SockWorks Sam is voiced by E.G. Daily, otherwise known as Tommy Pickles or Buttercup.
    • Larch, Birch and Mr. Splinter sound different in Thunder And Lightning Aren't So Frightening than they do in No Need To Hide When It's Dark Outside.
    • Sam's mom sounds different in You Are What You Eat From Your Head To Your Feet than she does in No Need To Hide When It's Dark Outside, SockWorks, and Lost & Found.
    • The trio of candles sound different in You Are What You Eat From Your Head To Your Feet than they do in No Need To Hide When It's Dark Outside.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • Life Is Rough When You Lose Your Stuff! had a lot of things that didn't make the final cut:
      • Unique background music for the Aquarium[1]
      • A different Aquarium area[2]
      • Another part of the Aquarium area, in place of the Truck World area[3]
      • A chess mini-game[4]
      • A different Chess Bleachers area[5]
      • A Contact path (an alternative to the Putty path), in which Grandma Sweater would not have needed a pattern, instead losing one of her contact lenses and needing the lens found[6]
      • Dr. Grime being named Dr. Filth[7]
      • The fire truck ladder rotating[8]
      • A Lampcord area (from which the Sidetable Top, had it existed, would have been accessible) located between the Vista and the Elastic Wasteland[9]
      • The peanut sometimes being found at the Dust Bunny Corral instead of at the Vista[10]
      • The piggy bank at Leavins & Squeezins being more of a Hungry Hungry Hippos parody[11]
      • A pewter Roman soldier figure character, also a Live Item (who would have been found at the Sidetable Top, had it existed)[12]
      • A Sidetable Top area (which would have been accessible from the Lampcord, had it existed) with some sort of connection through the Elastic Wasteland to the Dresser Scaling mini-game[13]
      • A Sock Musical reprise featuring both socks[14]
      • The Soiled Sock having a different voice[15]
      • Subtitles[16]
    • The Anime of the Game was to have been created by Lancit Media Entertainment.
    • There was going to be a Pajama Man game, but it appears to be Vaporware.
  • Working Title:
    • Pajama Sam 2: Thunder And Lightning Aren't So Frightening was at one point going to be called Pajama Sam in It's Only Thunder And Lightening.
    • Pajama Sam: Life Is Rough When You Lose Your Stuff!'s working title was Pajama Sam 4.
