- Hau is hated by a lot of players for being too cheerful a rival, plus the amount of hand-holding that goes on in the beginning.
- Crabominable ended up being one of the more unpopular Pokémon in Generation VII for being a disappointing evolution to Crabrawler, with many finding its design ugly and being yet another slow Ice-type Tier-Induced Scrappy with consistently low usage in spite of its high Attack stat.
