"A story of love, action and heartwarming moments, but mostly cheap jokes and stickmen."

Positivity is a Gag-per-Day Stick Figure Comic by "Manga"[2] that mainly either parodies certain works and phrases or does something painful to its cast. While a lot of the comics are standalone, there are certain recurring characters:
- Two guys, in which one of them wears a hat and frequently suffers some sort of absurd injury or blow.
- Some guy in a wizard hat, who regularly engages in psychopathy.
- Another guy who wears a top hat, and represents the author.
The comic is located here and is hosted by Comic Fury, but is also mirrored on two forums that the author goes to.
This webcomic contains examples of:[]
- Alt Text: Most comics have these, but there a few where the author forgets to add it.
- Author Avatar: The guy with a top hat is one, and is used to express the author's feelings and some generic jokes.
- Bilingual Bonus: "Greek" contains the phrase "Su gamo ti mana", which roughly translates to "I fucked your mother". Thus explaining why the poor fellow got in trouble when his friend told him it meant "Thank you".
- Christmas Episode: The aptly named "Christmas Special", which mocks Eastenders.
- Glasses Pull: Mocked in "Glasses Pull". A giant robot is destroying the city, so a man walks away, buys a pair of sunglasses, walks back, puts them on, and then takes them off to say "Oh bugger".
- Hitler Ate Sugar: Referenced in "That Certain Card":
#1: Hey, what do you think of my new haircut? |
- Naked People Are Funny: In "People", the only punchline is that the character is naked, and a lampshading thereof.
- Nosebleed: Mentioned by name in the title of "Nosebleed". Someone in a green top sees someone leaning over and gets one, and then spends the rest of the comic questioning why they didn't get a boner or become moist instead.
- Self-Deprecation: "Nosebleed" has a character who's not sure what gender they are.
- Shout-Out:
- "Christmas Special" parodies Eastenders' big dramatic Christmas Episodes.
"There's something you should know. I'm pregnant. AND YOU'RE THE MOTHER!" |
- "Valentine's Day" contains a reference to Fable III's Arthur, who goes around leaving insulting letters to people.
Guy: What's this? A secret admirer? |
- "Wright" contains a reference to Ace Attorney, wherein the Author Avatar dramatically shouts objection and thus gets forbidden to attend the school's debate club.
- "Spirits of Veageance" parodies a scene from, as the name implies, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance.
Roarke: I have given you the power of decay. Whatever you touch, shall rot away. |
- "WARNING: Hot Stick Figure On Stick Figure Action" makes fun of "Sex is on Fire" by Kings of Leon. The two stick figures having sex are on fire.
- There have also been two Filler drawings of what Rincewind and Skulduggery Pleasant would look like in stick figure form, here and here.
- Spoof Aesop: Although "Homosexuals" contains an actual Aesop on not stereotyping homosexuals into camp roles, but it's quickly twisted.
"Do not stereotype gay people. |
- Stick Figure Comic: Of the square body, somewhat clothed version. The artstyle borrows a bit from The Order of the Stick.
- Valentine's Day Episodes: "Valentine's Day", as its name suggests.
