Pox Nora is a turn based strategy Card Battle Game which can be played as a stand-alone game or over Facebook. It is set in a world enduring a constant struggle between good ("protectorate") and evil ("wrath") over the mystical magical energy named Nora.

Each player starts with a Shrine (which can be transfigured into a powerful Avatar after a number of rounds) and a battlegroup consisting of 30 concealed Runes (Champions, Spells, Artifacts or Equipment) of which a few will be revealed every turn. The game ends when one player's Shrine or Avatar has been destroyed. The game can be played either against the computer (campaigns) or player vs. player. In most campaigns and in ranked games, the battlegroup must consist of either 30 runes from one of the eight factions (Full Faction) or 15 runes from two different factions (Split Faction).

The eight Factions are:

  • Protectorate:
    • Froglar Swamp: Frogs fighting together with Firk and other scary things to protect their beloved swamp.
    • K'thir Forest: Elves, Garu and Treefolk protecting their beloved forest.
    • Savage Tundra: Jakei, Lonx and Yeti fighting for their uncomfortable homeland nobody would want to live in anyway.
    • Iron Fist Stronghold: Dwarves and Barbarians and their Constructs fighting for their mountain kingdom.
  • Wrath:
    • Forsaken Wastes: Undead Liches, Zombies and Skeletons conquering the world.
    • Underdepths: Deep Elves and Demons trying to burn down the world. Mostly the K'thir Forests.
    • Shattered Peaks: Moga, their masters, the G'hern, and Voil threatening the world.
    • Sundered Lands: honourable Dragons and Dragonfolk trying to take over the world. That is, if they're not currently fighting against rebelling Skeezick, which are also playable for the Sundered Lands.
