Once an Episode: Heidi will speak Spanish. Sometimes more than once an episode, actually.
Playing Against Type: Heidi and Missy aren't the most evil characters in the series, but Emma Watson and Rupert Grint play villains nevertheless for three quarters of the series simply because Heidi and Missy kiss up to Kendra.
Sailor Fuku: Part of the female uniform for most of the girls in both versions (yes, even the Western remake set in Britain).
Shout-Out: Instead of bearing a vague resemblance to Cure Black and Cure White's outfits, Cure Firebird and Cure Lamantin now wear fanseries-inspired outfits: Firebird, being played by a tomboy (Heidi), gets the outfit inspired by Cure Tora, and Lamantin, being played by a girly girl (Missy), gets the outfit inspired by Cure Romance.
Spared by the Adaptation: Rheo in the Western remake. However, the injuries he incurred from a sneak attack by Canis put him in a wheelchair the next time he appears.
Wheelchair Woobie: Leonard in his final appearance.

Cluster F-Bomb: Shugo swears more frequently and uses more, um, choice words in her speech.
Fake American: Rupert Grint as Sakura and Emma Watson as Shugo.

Evil Laugh: Cure Western's laughter while torturing Scratch sounds A LOT more maniacal and hammy, courtesy of Emma Watson.

Anti-Hero: Amazora descends into Type IV territory from episodes 23 to 34, signified by her lily hair ornament being colored gray during this unusually dark period for her.
Death by Adaptation: Subverted by Akira, who takes the blast meant for Amazora right before they and the other Cures are due to transform for a fight and dies instantly. Amazora kisses her back to life after Akira's teammates agonize over her death for a short time.
Disney Death: Akira.
Kiss of Life: Amazora, after Akira dies in the blast meant for her.
Mythology Gag: From Amazora's mouth, after Akira dies after pushing her out of the way of that lethal blast fired by Meran and Korii: "That girl caught in the blast Meran and Korii fired... that should have been me."
Spared by the Adaptation: Actually, Amazora is still alive at the end of both versions. She just never dies in this one. And when her former teammates are purified and come Back From the Dead, she actually embraces all three of them right before the fight against Meran and Korii resumes.
Survivor Guilt: Amazora, to the point where she wishes she had died instead of Akira.
Tights Under Shorts: The only noticeable difference between Akira's winter casual outfit here and in the source material is that here, instead of a black skirt, she wears cuffed jean shorts over her blue tights.

Adaptation Dye Job: Trebol now has black hair, while Espada is the one with the blond hair. He also sports a slight beard.
Death by Adaptation: Subverted by Kazue when Reine, in a last act of defiance, fires a blast at her opponents just as their attack approaches her to blow her away. In a Shout-Out to Iron Man, while she doesn't come back during that scene, the very next scene shows her alive and well watching a news report on how Pretty Cure, whoever they are, managed to save the city of Ento.

Playing Against Type: Emma Watson as a Villain Protagonist? That's something we'd like to see!
Real Life Writes the Plot: There's an added scene at the very beginning of the series where Eternity forcibly operates on Dark Iris's vocal chords and donates them to Queen Hoffman, whose own daughter had just blown her own voice out. As a consequence, Emma Watson speaks with Michelle Molineux's voice for the duration of the series.

Crucified Hero Shot: Kore, after Thera empties a bunch of rounds into her body.
