When it comes to fanfiction, over 90% of it is usually crap.

These guys would argue it's closer to 100%

Project A.F.T.E.R. (which stand for "Project Anime Fanfiction: Twisted Entertainment Review" ) is a web forum dedicated to the idea that almost all fanfics and fan works in general suck, at least that created by amateurs (though even some licensed fanfiction is not immune to their criticism). As far as they are concerned, most fanfiction is rather mediocre at best, with quite of bit of it being disgusting, pathetic, and mock worthy.

And so, these brave souls apply the Mystery Science Theater 3000 treatment to some of the most abominable fanfiction on the internet, hoping to not only highlight the fail, but hopefully wring some laughs out of execrable fan stories and fan comics.

Tropes that apply to this forum:
This page needs more trope entries. You can help this wiki by adding more entries or expanding current ones.
  • Brutal Honesty: Applied to every fanfic they have commentary on.
  • Caustic Critic: Practically every fanfic they look at is given a very jaundiced eye and sarcastic derision.
  • Cluster F-Bomb: If the fanfic the forum goers are riffing is gross, maddening, or both, expect the profanity to fly.
  • Deadpan Snarker: If you took a shot every time someone made a snarky remark about something from a crappy fanfic, your liver wouldn't last half an hour.
  • Hatedom: Fanfiction. Especially bad fanfiction. In fact, the site was established on an anti-fanfic premise.
  • Sturgeon's Law: It's basically the site religion.
