Randy Edelman (born 1947) is an American film composer and musician. Beginning as a pianist (and recording a few albums in the process), Edelman's first film score was the 1973 film Executive Action. He didn't go into film scoring full-time until the 1980's, when he scored for TV movies for Henry Winkler (Fonzie from Happy Days) and his production company. Since then, he's been known as a composer who is able to tackle multiple genres (mostly action and comedy but he's done a few dramas as well) and has a few cases of Crowning Music of Awesome to his name.
You've probably heard his music in movie trailers and commercials.
