Characters from Reincarnation Colosseum include:
Mikagami Kouji[]
Wait. I was yanked from my bedroom, dragged to this world, thrown into a colosseum to be beaten up, killed, revived, gender-bent, and then raped? They treat my life like some kind of game? Game... BWAHAHAHA! I ALMOST NEVER LOSE AT GAMES, NO MATTER WHAT KIND THEY ARE!
The protagonist. Just before going to bed, he finds himself at the center of a magic circle and is summoned right in the face of High Priest Zayd. She first treats him with respect, but when she learns his skills are lack-luster, goes into an apoplectic fit and throws him into the colosseum to be publicly humiliated as if he personally wronged her somehow. He's got no choice but to defeat all four of Zayd's bodyguards so he can get even for the injustice. If he loses, even once, he'd become an abused Sex Slave.
- Always a Bigger Fish: Which he learns the hard way. After winning the match against Alice's "rival" he wakes up in the recovery room to learn that she and her partner are both professional sex workers, with plenty of experience. Talk about "performance anxiety."
- Badass Boast: His motto is "when it comes to games, I almost never lose, regardless of genre." And he can back that up.
- Berserk Button: Mikagami loathes cheaters with undying passion. Sure, Mary, Marl, and Alice all trash-talked and tried to humiliate him on Zayd's orders, but when Fine bragged about cheating in her bout with him, he took that, PERSONALLY, and straight up killed Fine with a triple attribute combo, something even she never thought possible.
- When he's in Desmos's office, and she's playing dumb, he repeatedly tells himself internally that he has to keep his cool, but he's utterly unable to do so and flips his shit when she starts faking ignorance of Fine's cheating, ruining his chances at negotiation and a favorable resolution that allows him to have his freedom and keep Zayd from killing him, permanently.
- Blessed with Suck: His skill "Copy" sounds great at first glance, but it only allows him to copy the skills of the one he's currently fighting, at reduced effect, and on top pf everything else, he's going to be far less experienced with said skills than the one he's copying from. That's a horrible place to be in a fight, so he has to think outside the box.
- Combat Pragmatist: Since he's an average human teen with no super-powers, he can't possibly match the very, very experienced gladiators thrown at him, all of whom do have super-powers, so he has no choice but to fight tricky.
- Condemned Contestant: The only reason he was thrown into the colosseum jail at the start of the story is purely to be publicly humiliated and then gender-bent to be a sex slave, seeing as his odds of victory in a straight-up fight were basically non-existent. Fortunately for him, and unfortunately for Zayd, he doesn't fight straight-up if he can help it.
- Determinator: He manages to win the tag-team fight in chapter 19 by goading Rin into a Mutual Kill but survives longer by sheer force of will. Desmos is truly impressed.
- Drama-Preserving Handicap: He learns, to his horror, that the effectiveness of his [Copy] ability is worsening when used in conduction with his hard-earned slave harem. Mary and Marl have gone from an hour of effective use to a matter of minutes, Alice has gone from an hour to half that time, With Fine, it stopped working altogether, even if (s)he slaps him. As Mary spells out, it's all due to the fact that as they work and party together, they stop seeing each other as "enemies" and grow closer with bonds of trust and love, so the ability weakens and eventually stops working altogether, which totally sucks. The only reason it still works with Mary, Marl, and Alice is because the first two are professional soldiers and can see even friends and family as "enemies" if the situation calls for it and Alice is still a raging misandrist. Once Fine's been pulled away from service under Zayd, and into service under Mikagami, the two become very, very close friends, since they have so much in common.
- Forced Into Evil: Left to his own devices, he wouldn't have any part of this colosseum nonsense, especially the raping part. He finds the very concept of treating people's lives as toys for the amusement of others utterly loathsome, and in fact, he'd be genuinely heroic, as a side-chapter shows him rescuing a little girl from being run over by a carriage at terrible risk to himself without even considering a reward. Unfortunately, he's been literally dragged into the colosseum, kicking and screaming, by a deranged priestess who wanted to humiliate and break him for things beyond his control which she knows are beyond his control and then goes totally postal because he refuses to simply lie down and let himself be brutalized and humiliated in her "honor."
- Instant Expert: He masters the magical skills he copies to levels even the original owners can't dream of and at incredible speeds. He figures out how to exploit a hidden synergy between Mary's magical flame-thrower and "back step" skilla the first time he saw them, during the actual bout. He beats Marl at martial arts despite having no previous training. He masters spatial magic even better than Alice, the top expert, in less than a week, having his trainer Tio revaluate his chances before the bout from absolute zero to 50/50. He masters a triple attribute combo during the fight with Fine. And to top it all off, he reaches the same proficiency Suzu has with her [clone] technique the first time he sees it, when she took years to learn it.
- I Shall Taunt You He's very, very effective at trash-talking, so effective in fact that he beats three out of four of the [Holy Four] by getting them off balance with well-honed insults.
- Loophole Abuse: Mikagami wins his bouts by abusing the many, many loopholes in the arena's rules and the skills used against him, since he's incapable of winning a straight up fight.
- Power Perversion Potential: Once he's got Suzu in his harem, he uses the clone technique to make clones of himself to screw all the rest of the girls silly while he uses his main body to screw Suzu. Suzu herself is ecstatic at the idea.
- Sex God: Despite being a virgin before being brought to the colosseum, under the influence of the "Secret Drugs," he's so, so skilled in the bedroom that he completely rocks Mary's world for three days straight, and didn't even notice Zulu checking up on him. Marl and Alice later get the same treatment, along with Mary, all at the same time! Alice is only upset about it because she's a die-hard, card-carrying misandrist.
- Training From Hell: Which he subjects himself to in order to deal with Alice. Copying Tio Clover's ability to use spatial magic, he tore himself apart over and over again so when Alice tried to tear him apart with her ability, he was able to teleport out of the way and corner her. When Alice figured that out, she fainted and wet herself in terror, costing her the bout, her freedom, and her chastity.
- Trapped in Another World: He can't return to Earth by any known means.
- Weak but Skilled: He's an average human teen up against hardened veterans with super-powers, but being a pro-gamer, he can, and does, think up ways to use the powers he copies that the original owners never dreamed of.
Zayd[]
How dare he?! I'll kill him! I'll kill him! I'll kill him! I'll kill him! I'll kill him! I'll kill him! I'll kill him! I'll kill him! I will risk anything! Even my life!
The high-priestess in charge of the ritual that summoned Mikagmi to the new world, in her country of Bumbledoll, looking to boost her country's combat strength in the war against rival nation Dumbledoll. She initially treats him with respect, even calling him "Sama." But when she hears from her acolytes that he both has no inherent magical skills and was granted the skill [Copy] by the goddess, has a complete meltdown, berates her acolytes for not summoning him "correctly" going by a superstition that their magic should have been employed "clockwise" and then grabs Mikagami himself by the scruff of the neck to literally throw him in the colosseum's jail, where he'd be sent to fight Mary Landorott the next morning, expecting him to suffer a humiliating defeat and giving Mary yet another gender-bent slave to abuse.
- Arch Enemy: As a result of her actions, kidnapping Mikagami from his home, dragging him into the colosseum, and forcing him to fight for his life and chastity, and most importantly, not only treating his life like some kind of toy, but putting him in a situation where if he wins the fights he's been thrust into against his will, he'd be locked in a room until he has sex with his opponent, with the intent of impregnation, consent be damned, and seeking to kill him, permanently, because he just refuses to bow and scrape before her for the privilege of being brutalized and humiliated in her name, she is Mikagami's most hated enemy and he'd like nothing more than to set her corpse alight so she never comes back.
- Assumed Win: She always expects to win whatever fight she throws Mikagami into. When her champion loses, she goes totally postal, as if he personally insulted her somehow.
- Beauty Is Bad: She starts off physically gorgeous, but she's completely bankrupt when it comes to morality.
- Corrupt Church: She's one of six of the church's top brass and it's apparently a competition to see who can be the most degenerate among them.
- Et Tu, Brute?: She's shocked and dismayed to see Alice quietly helping Mikagami, despite Alice's open misandry. She just never bothered to consider that Alice's policy of helping the stronger side in a conflict might trump her misandrist nature.
- Evil Makes You Ugly: Every time she blows her lid because Mikagami refuses to obediently lose the fight with her champion and allow himself to be humiliated, her face warps and become utterly deranged, making her physical appearance match her character. She also tends to become quite unattractive when she's plotting nastiness.
- Hair-Trigger Temper: She flies into apoplectic rages with astounding ease.
- Hypocrite: When she cheats, it's all fine and good, but when she even suspects someone else might, just might, be cheating, she goes on a holy crusade to punish the would-be cheater.
- Moral Myopia: She kidnaps Mikagami from his home, throws him into a colosseum to be brutalized and humiliated for things beyond his control, that she knows are beyond his control, and forces him to fight for his life on a repeated basis, but every time she's humiliated by the fact that she bragged about how badly he was expected to lose only to see him win instead, and she sees him as a death-row inmate that deserves to be killed for inconveniencing her.
- Nun-Too-Holy: She wears a nun's habit and she's absolutely abhorrent.
- Obvious Rule Patch: Her response to Mikagami winning a bout by cunning and thinking outside the box has her go to her subordinates and first scour the rules, and if she finds he hasn't broken any, altering the rules for the next bout to be in her favor. Case in point, when Marl winds up losing thanks to unwittingly eating the "Special Drugs" as a result of Mikagami cracking a dental implant and then spitting in her mouth as she was gloating, Zayd has the referee alter the rules so those drugs aren't allowed in the arena again.
- Stupid Evil: When she learned her nephew had learned of a way to get more magical skills than the three-per-person limit, rather than train up Fine into a strategic weapon, just shoved the child into the role of being her enforcer, by blackmail.
- Revenge Before Reason: When she's last seen in chapter 13, she's screaming that she will happily risk everything, including her life, for the chance to avenge her self-inflicted humiliation on Mikagami.
- Sunk Cost Fallacy: She grabs Mikagami by the scruff of the neck and throws him into the colosseum jail, expecting him to lose, horribly, to Mary, expecting the revenue from the bidding to replace at least some of the cost of summoning him. He pulls an upset and puts Mary through her own standards of humiliation. Zayd responds by sending Marl at him, trying to avenge Mary's loss. Marl literally gets spanked, and likes it. Alice is sent in next, but Alice is a one-trick pony with her spatial magic attack. When the attack fails and Mikagami winds up pinning Alice to the ground, she faints in terror and pees herself. So she sends in the last of her [Holy Four] Fine.... who she straight up ordered to cheat, and Fine still lost!
Zulu[]
Mikagagmi is strangely popular with women.
Mikagami's cell-mate when he's thrown into the colosseum's prison. She has a personal score to settle with Zayd and helps Mikagami as much as she can because he has shown that he's very, very good at pulling upsets in the colosseum bouts, and he shares her goal of vengeance against the evil high priestess.
- Armor-Piercing Slap: She delivers one of these to Mikagami when he slips and falls, winding up with one of his hands on one of her breasts and specifically tells him that sex is one of the few things she won't give him as support.
- The Bet: Mikagami promised her any favor within his power if she gave him the intel he needed to deal with Mary, and said intel led him to victory. As a result of his victory, she asked for him to keep winning so he can be her vehicle to deal with Zayd and the corrupt church behind her.
- Culture Clash: Being raised in Dumbledoll, she can't comprehend why Mikagami has reservations about enjoying the spoils in regards to beating Suzu and Musashi.
- Knife Nut: She fights with a dagger.
- Morality Chain: Inverted. When Mikagami comes to her with reservations about taking Suzu to bed after winning the bout, because Suzu is not affiliated with Zayd and isn't part of his revenge, she slaps the thought out of him and states "No wimpy half-measures!"
- Mr. Exposition: She's the one who explains the world setting, colosseum rules, etc.
- Noodle Incident: What, exactly, is her grudge with Zayd? And why was she locked up in the colosseum in the first place? She's yet to be in a bout, and it's been three weeks since Mikagami met her.
- Team Mom: She backs Mikagami in just about every way, gathering intel, hiring mercenaries, providing the drugs and tools he needs to win, etc.
Mary Landorott[]
Hmph! These summoned ones are all scum! Time to grind this weakling to the ground as he's begging for mercy!
The first of the [Holy Four] Mikagami has to face. She used to be a proud and honorable knight, but after three failed attempts at finding a marriage partner stronger than herself, and being labeled a spinster at the age of 26, she became bitter and cruel, coming to the colosseum willingly to find victims she can take her frustrations out on. This all comes to an end when she fought Mikagami, who taunted her until she couldn't think straight and then tackled her to the ground after her own skills backfired.
- Aggressive-Submissive: She is very haughty and cruel, especially to men who can't fight back, but she loves being dominated. She just can't get enough of Mikagami in the sack because he beat her in a fight and keeps her under his heel, sometimes literally.
- All Women Are Lustful: After Mikagami wins his fight with Marl, he brings Marl "home" and begins spanking her into submission. As he's busy doing that, Mary grabs a bottle of the "Secret Drugs" downs it, and then loudly proclaims "what about celebrating with my body?!" jumping at him for more of that sweet, sweet loving. Cue an off-screen three days of three-way-sex, leaving Mikagami barely able to stand.
- Anguished Declaration of Love: In the end of chapter 19, she loudly proclaims her love for Mikagami before she collapses in exhaustion.
- Berserk Button: She is very, very sensitive about her age of 26, so calling her a "spinster" is guaranteed to make her try and deliver a gruesome death.
- Best Her to Bed Her: She turned down three marriages because the men in question were weaker than her. She lost her virginity to the guy who beat her in the arena, Mikagami.
- Didn't Think This Through: Which Mikagami calls her out on after he beat her. If she had just come at him with a sword, he would have been helpless, but because she just kept spamming her magical flame-thrower at him until the entire arena, save where she was standing, was on fire, all he needed to do was activate [Back Step], and he'd teleport right to her, blade at her throat, and she could have escaped if she had thought to extinguish a few of those flames on the arena strategically.
- Hoist by His Own Petard: She's beaten by having her own [Back Step] skill used against her by Mikagami exploiting the fact that it instantly sends its wielder to safety and the only safe place in the arena was the very spot she was standing on, sending a blade at her throat, and she couldn't use the same trick because her own fire-proof armor made the entire arena a "safe" spot for her.
- I Lied: In bouts before she went up against Mikagami, she loved to promise mercy to her opponents if they stripped naked and begged. She would then go and torch them anyway.
- Playing with Fire: One of her two magical skills is a magical flame-thrower.
- Property of Love: Before he goes into the fight with Marl, Mikagami removes her slave collar, as he knows his odds aren't great and he doesn't want Mary going down with him. The moment Mikagami closes their cell door, Mary puts the collar back on, of her own volition, indicating that come hell or high water, she's his and his alone.
- Riches to Rags: As a result of her loss to Mikagami, she lost everything, her fancy fire-proof spandex-looking armor, her collection of slaves, her sword, everything, leaving her nothing but manacles, collar, chains, and thread-bare rags that just barely cover her modesty.
- Shameful Strip: She loved to make her male opponents strip and beg for mercy. Mikagami turns this on her when she promises to do anything if he would spare her life. Unlike her, Mikagami didn't go and kill her anyway.
- Too Important to Walk: As she's going into the arena to fight with Mikagami, she's carried on a palanquin by her army of slaves. This comes to an end after her loss.
- Victim Falls For Rapist: Although Mikagami only raped her because he was compelled by law to do so, she fell for him, hard, because he was so good at sex that he left her in post-orgasmic afterglow, for three days straight!
Marl Baroque[]
Hahaha! The strong eat the weak! I let you hit me first so I could tell how much to hold back so I won't kill you too quick!
The second of the [Holy Four] Zayd sends at Mikagami. She is a powerful martial artist who has the magical skill of physical enhancement in speed, strength, and dexterity. Her moto is "the strong eat the weak," making her a bully who doesn't even see people weaker than her as people, but only as toys to abuse and break. Unknown to everyone, including herself, she likes receiving pain just as much as she likes giving it out.
- Ambiguous Innocence: A flashback shows that when she was just 5-years-old, she was being trained in martial arts by her father, the master of a martial arts dojo. Even then she loved to break bones and dislocate limbs when in sparring matches with her fellow disciples and couldn't, for the life of her, understand why that's wrong.
- Because You Were Nice to Me: Chapter 25 reveals that she doesn't just lust after Mikagami, but actually loves him, because he's the first person, ever, to see her for who she truly is, and still likes her anyway, instead of just looking down on her for not living up to their expectations, that only exist in their own heads.
- Casual Kink: She gets sexually aroused by being spanked, both in the arena and the bedroom after Mikagami wins the fight.
- Combat Sadomasochist: She gets sexual gratification both from dishing out pain, and receiving it. She only realizes the last part when Mikagami literally spanks her during their bout.
- Dumb Muscle: She's a very powerful fighter, but she's a complete moron. After she lost the fight and Mikagami drags her back to their assigned room, where he's legally compelled to breed her, she tries to throw an enhanced punch, forgetting entirely that every time she enhances herself, she's enhancing Mikagami too.
- Just Toying with Them: Deconstructed. She deliberately holds back to keep from punching Mikagami to death so she can relish making him suffer, one bone at a time. This causes her to pass up the opportunity to win and have Mikagami launch an upset with a nice Spiteful Spit, right in her mouth.
- Love Redeems: Her love for Mikagami awakened virtues in her that she didn't know she had and rescued her from being swallowed up by her own dark impulses and desires, for which she's eternally grateful.
- Might Makes Right: She respects people as strong as herself or stronger, weaklings are only toys for her to break, literally. She is even shown to horribly break the arms and legs of one of her slaves just before the fight with Mikagami as a warm-up.
- Punched Across the Room: On both ends. The first punch she delivers on Mikagami sends him flying all the way to the other end of the arena, knocking him into the shield. When she's debilitated by the "Secret Drugs" Mikagami smuggled into the arena in a dental implant, that he then spit into her mouth, she gets punched in the gut that sends her flying into the arena barrier, as a direct result of boosting Mikagami's stats when she tried to fight off the aphrodisiac with her physical boost skills.
- Trope Workshop:Reformed but Still Horned: She does mellow and begins to admire Mikagami's vastly superior intelligence, following him happily, even helping him subdue Alice after his victory over that misandrist, but she's little more than a dangerous attack dog. Mikagami thinks that's alright as he uses her to deal with Zayd's spies, which she greatly enjoys doing as she gets to break bones.
- Right for the Wrong Reasons: She refuses Byrne's offer for "marriage" out of disgust at being insulted herself and having Mikagami's honor impugned. As Byrne is sarcastically quipping as to how he's "been rejected," his inner thoughts reveal that he had no intention of honoring his end of the bargain in the first place.
- Shameless Fanservice Girl: Her original garb was so outrageous that her new slave garb, which is little more than rags that barely conceal her modesty, is actually more conservative, and it doesn't bother her a bit.
Alice Cotton[]
I hate men. They are a filthy, disgusting inferior species!
The third of the [Holy Four] sent at Mikagami. She is a card-carrying, die-hard misandrist that sees men as an inferior species and doesn't hesitate to say so. She wins all her bouts in a split second by using her spatial magic to shred them.
- Armor-Piercing Slap: Just before Mikagami is about to face Fine, Alice slaps him in the face "for daring to defile her." Much as Mikagami wanted to retaliate, he had to worry about facing Fine and couldn't afford to risk a forfeit, getting injured giving Alice the beating she deserves.
- Assumed Win: She believed she didn't have to take Mikagami seriously because she always wins her bouts in a split second using her spatial magic. The instant he managed to teleport out of the way, even if he had a hand and a foot sliced off, she was dumbstruck and had no way to counter him as he just limped right up to her wielding a knife. She fainted and wet herself in terror when he stabbed said knife right next to her face.
- Berserk Button: Above and beyond hating men, she is extremely sensitive to the fact that she looks like a child. So calling her a child (even though she also acts like one) is guaranteed to have her use her spatial magic to shred you, as she demonstrates just before her bout with Mikagami as she rips off the legs of a guy in the audience who cried out "Mikagami, beat up that midg-... AAAARRGGHHH!!! MY LEGS!!"
- Crippling Overspecialization: She's very dangerous with her spatial abilities. Get past them, and she's completely helpless.
- Does This Remind You of Anything?: Before she goes into the fight with Mikagami, she's certain to win and takes no precautions. Zayd warns her that Mikagami is a very tricky fighter. She responds "Tricks are for kids!"
- The Fake Cutie: She loves to play up the fact that she looks like a child to get the cheers of her groupies, but she goes apoplectic if people treat her like a child and she's a heinous misandrist for no explained reason.
- Girl-On-Girl Is Hot: Mikagami was clearly hesitant to have her in his harem starting with the aftermath of their official bout where she refused to comply with the receptionist, just throwing tantrums like a brat, and Mikagami had to drag her to his assigned cell, as she refused to walk with her own two legs, but when Mary force feeds Alice the aphrodisiacs and then both Marl and Mary start making out with Alice, he doesn't even need a dose of the drug to get wildly aroused and go after the little terror to ... ahem... do his duty.
- Harem Seeker: She first signed up as Zayd's enforcer because she could build herself up a harem of men gender-bent into women. Serving under Mikagami, she starts genuinely helping him when she realizes that the more he wins, the bigger the harem he's going to have and the more women she can sexually play with.
- Hate Sink: Mary takes her loss to Mikagami with grace and even worries for him when he was sent to fight Marl (mildly surprising). Marl becomes utterly devoted to Mikagami and respects his vastly superior intellect as a result of her loss (very surprising). Fine fights Mikagami with respect as a fellow gamer and treasures him as a Worthy Opponent. Even the primary antagonist, Zayd, is shown to have good reason to act the way she does. Alice has no redeeming traits whatsoever. Not only does she have a raging superiority complex to men for no explained reason, but she's a raging hypocrite and sore loser who slaps Mikagami "for defiling her" despite willingly going into the colosseum purely to gather herself a group of sex-slaves, knowing full well, in advance, that she'd be put through the same fate herself if she lost and utterly refuses to admit Mikagami won over her fair and square and earned his victory, even planning to kill him and attempt to escape the moment she joined up with Marl and Mary, seeing herself as the one betrayed when they instead hold her down, force feed her the "Secret drug" she's by law required to consume, and inviting Mikagami to do his legal duty and breed her.
- Heel Face Brainwashing: Implied. The mushroom spores Mikagami used to incapacitate her are known to have mind-altering effects, especially in doses as heavy as shown. When further combined with the effects of the "Secret drugs" that also have mind-altering effects, particularly the aphrodisiac properties, it's ambiguous how much of her loyalty change is voluntary.
- He-Man Woman Hater: Inverted. For no explained reason, she utterly hates men, seeing them as an inferior species.
- Legal Jailbait: She looks like she's 12, at the oldest, and acts like it, but she's actually is 24.
- I Fight for the Strongest Side: Chapter 13 shows that Mikagami doesn't need "line of sight" for his ability for copying skills, but just close proximity, and Alice actually helps him, despite her misandry, against Zayd, because Mikagami's star is rising while Zayd's is falling, and points out that that's how she wound up in Zayd's service to begin with.
- Inferiority Superiority Complex: As explained to Zulu by Mikagami. This mindset is precisely why Alice is so, so dangerous to fight. She knows she's a commoner orphan and pathetically weak as well, so she makes herself believe she's the strongest and most powerful person alive and actively trains until that assertion comes true.
- Original Position Fallacy: She was looking forward to going into the fight with Mikagami because she was expecting to beat him, have him gender-bent, and then she could sexually exploit him to her heart's content. When Mikagami wins the bout, she has the gall to be enraged and see him as "defiling" her.
- Riches to Rags: Just like with Mary, she lost everything of value as a result of losing her bout with Mikagami and winding up as his sex slave. Unlike Mary, she refuses to admit her loss and just continues being a belligerent man-child.
- Sore Loser: Unlike Mary and Marl, who learned to take their losses to Mikagami with class, she remains a spiteful brat who utterly refuses to admit she lost at all.
- Tiny Tyrannical Girl: She looks like she's barely in the double digits and acts like the stereotypical spoiled brat; throwing tantrums when things don't go her way, using her spatial magic abilities to attack people on a whim, just barely respects Zayd, who is another woman that's also apparently way more powerful, and after losing a bout in the arena, that she willingly attended, utterly refuses to admit her loss and tries to throw her weight around in Mikagami's cell, and after he screws her silly, because he's both legally required to do so, and he's sealed in the cell with her until he does, attacks him for "daring to defile her." She is extremely unsympathetic as a result.
- Troll: She loves to rile up people into an impotent rage for her own amusement. When she spots Zayd under the arena, where it's illegal for Zayd to be, she posits "well, if you become a slave, I'll happily welcome you with open arms, otherwise, it would be best for you to leave before you get arrested." just to watch Zayd fly into an incoherent fury and then snickers at her departing back.
- Weak but Skilled: Of all the gladiators Mikagami's beaten, she's the one he never, ever wants to fight against again. She knows she's a complete and utter weakling, so she spent 10 hours a day, every day, practicing her spacial magic abilities to be as proficient with them as she is. She goes right back to that insane training regiment when Desmos pairs her and Mikagami against her most hated rival, who already knows all her tricks. The match quickly devolves into the worst-case scenario of a high-speed, high attack, high evasion dogfight.
Fine Catastrophe[]
Well. Since you were so generous to "help with me with this experiment," I'll tell you three things... 2.) I am Fine, the Catastrophe, and 3.) I hate mindless brutes like you! (Sets the man who picked a fight with her on fire.)
The fourth, and last, of the [Holy Four] Mikagami has to face in the arena. Through means unknown, she has managed to rack up 108 magical skills, when the most anyone has is supposed to be three. While Zulu is unable to gather any information about her, at all, Mikagami puzzles out she's a fellow [Gamer] dragged to this world after forcing a confrontation while in disguise. While their bout starts off fairly civil and the two square off with respect, it's not long before Fine decides to straight up cheat. Mikagami loses all respect for her at that point.
- Beneath the Mask: Chapter 13 reveals that all the bravado we've seen from Fine so far is all just an act, on Zayd's orders. Fine's actually very shy, timid, and weak-willed.
- Cheaters Never Prosper: Chapter 12 shows that she has no problems cheating. At Zayd's orders, she brings a forbidden item into the arena to negate Mikagami's ability to copy her skills. She still loses because she underestimated Mikagami's inherent strength and the fact that he copied the skills of Marl and Alice before entering the ring, which is well within the rules. And then beat her with an application of her own skills that she never dreamed of.
- Combo-Platter Powers: She has 108 magical skills and can combine them in all sorts of interesting ways.
- Didn't See That Coming: She presumed that since Mikagami's stuck in the arena's barrier with her, that he wouldn't be able to wield skills he copied from his previous opponents and current harem, so she preened to gloat about her outright cheating while a smokescreen was blocking them from the view of the arena audience. This leads to her defeat at his hands as he uses a copy of Alice's spatial magic to break the banned trinket keeping him from copying her skills, copies Marl's physical enhancement to push her off and punch her in the face, and then hurls a triple element combo, causing her to freeze with choice paralysis as she couldn't decide which option to undertake, attempting to dodge or attempting to counter. In the end, she loses the fight by death, destined to be revived and added to his slave harem.
- Evil Counterpart: She may well be what Mikagami became if he was welcomed and doted on by Zayd rather than unjustly thrown into the arena to be humiliated and violated unjustly, as she's also a hard-core gamer who gained 108 special skills through trial, error, and a lot of hard work.
- Forced Into Evil: Chapter 13 reveals that Zayd blackmailed Fine into becoming a gladiator.
- Gender Bender: "She" is actually Zayd's nephew, illegally using a gender-bender skill to be one of Zayd's top enforcers. This bites them in the butt when they lose the fight with Mikagami and winds up in his harem, because Mikagami straight up doesn't care and has sex with "her" female form anyway.
- Heel Face Turn: After losing the fight to Mikagami and entering his service, she's a much, much nicer person, and the two of them quickly become best friends.
- Mysterious Waif: She holds many secrets and even Zulu, with all her black-market connections, can't find any information about her, at all.
- Please, I Will Do Anything!: Fine straight up begs and bargains to try and get out of having sex with Mikagami. It pointedly doesn't work.
- Scary Teeth: Her teeth are shark-like.
- Spirited Competitor: She fights in the arena purely for the thrill of the challenge and she's impressed with Mikagami being able to keep up with her... unless she's ordered to cheat, and she has no problem with that either.
- Technician Versus Performer: The fight between her and Mikagami can easily be boiled down to the fight between a "Free to Play" gamer who struggled to learn all the ins and outs of the game and succeeds via hard work versus the "Pay to Win" gamer who is a complete amateur at the game but succeeds at gameplay via the power of the wallet, just throwing cash at the game in micro-transactions to get the intended result. Mikagami wins via superior gaming tactics, experience, and abusing loopholes in the rules rather than straight-up cheating.
- Trade Your Passion for Glory: Unless it's an act, she traded her love for being a gamer in return for being Zayd's paid enforcer, ending the fight early and going in for the kill, after negating Mikagami's ability to copy her skills by using a smoke-screen in chapter 11. Chapter 12 proves it's no act, she used the smokescreen to straight up cheat.
- Unskilled but Strong: Chapter 13 reveals that as far as the gladiator arena's concerned, she's a complete neophyte, never having to battle before, coasting along on her reputation, being the top of Zayd's enforcers, which any opponents would have to get past, and generally not getting into fights she can actually lose, so her understanding of her 108 skills is almost purely theoretical. This is why she struggled so much in the fight with Mikagami when the fight was fair, and lost when she resorted to cheating.
Tio Clover[]
Nobody ever thought of using spatial ability to transport themselves, and this is why. (Transports a rose that winds up having its top sliced off.)
A mercenary Zulu hired on Mikagami's behalf before the fight with Marl, in anticipation of having to fight Alice at some point.
- Brutal Honesty: She does not mince words about how hopeless Mikagami's coming fight with Alice is going to be, until he puzzles out a very dangerous way to get past her spatial magic, and manages to make it work. At the arena, just before the bout, she ups his chances to 50-50 from absolte zero.
- Loophole Abuse: In the warmup to the fight with Alice, Zayd detains all the spatial ability users in the city so Mikagami can't practice and devise counter-measures. Zulu, at Mikagami's request, hires Clover and has her hide outside the city before the match with Marl, and then sends a messanger to find her, to meet in secret, in the prelude to facing off against Alice.
- Only in It For the Money: Her loyalty to Mikagami is entirely dependent on being paid well for her services.
Gelzey[]
Zayd, you have my condolences.
A noble of unknown rank who shows up to troll Zayd before, and after, the match between Mikagami and Alice. He and Zayd pointedly do not get along, but they have to play it "civil" due to their respective positions.
- Bit Character: He doesn't really do much, on screen, but serves to highlight just why Zayd is so high-strung.
- Snark to Snark Combat: He and Zayd love to trade barbs at each other's misfortune. On paper, they are flattering each other, but in practice, their words are filled with malice and contempt for each other.
Desmos Salamandis[]
Mikagami, he's sure interesting. When he loses, i'll suck him dry and then swallow him whole!
The management of the colosseum and Mikagami's [Owner].
- Card-Carrying Villain: She loves to boast of her villainy and how vile she is. But she's smart enough to hide her less than legal activities from the general public.
- Even Evil Has Standards: She makes no bones about how vile she is and she revels in her villainy, but even she has things that she just won't tolerate, given a choice.
- She loathes stupidity, in any form, as she was quite cross when Mikagami lost his temper in her office and foolishly insults her, but he manages to win back her respect when he reveals he's got the grand ambition of taking over the colosseum, forcefully adding her to his harem for revenge towards her slights against him, and then demonstrates that he has the cunning, determination, and vision to actually carry it out, regardless of the odds.
- Desmos is also deeply enraged by hypocrisy. If you're going to do vile deeds and victimize others, own it. When Luna comes into her office asking for help, presenting herself as a poor and innocent little lamb who's done nothing wrong and needs help to recover from her setbacks, caused by over-extending herself trying to earn Zayd's empty seat through defeating Mikagami in the arena, Desmos grabs her by the throat, lifts her into the air, and loses all respect for the little brat, as Luna is also a card-carrying slave-trader, in general, in addition to Musashi and Suzu, who has ruined countless lives for her own ends. Luna has the gall to want revenge on Desmos for mocking her and almost literally throwing her out, leaving her to her fate.
- She takes oaths seriously, deadly seriously. When Alexandros tried to welsh on a bet where he promised to be her slave/enforcer for a year in the unlikely event he lost the fight with Mikagami, Desmos threatened him with Total War if he didn't carry out his part of the deal. This made all the nobles in attendance very, very nervous.
- For the Evulz: She does cruel and vile things just for the fun of it and doesn't care who knows. When Luna came to her for help after overextending herself, she grabs the girl by the throat, mocks her plight, and then sings her "Happy Birthday" to her "for [her] second birth as a villain, due to losing everything!"
- Got Me Doing It: Even she can't help but laugh herself silly at Miakami's comedy skit during the fight with Alexander Byrne, intended to make Chris Ena drop her guard.
- Horned Humanoid: As a member of the giantess race, she has obsidian horns on her head.
- Lecherous Licking: She licks her lips in anticipation of sexually violating Mikagami.
- Plausible Deniability: When she's in a private meeting with Mikagami, she very convincingly acts as if she wasn't aware that Zayd's henchman, Fine, was cheating, even though she's the one who gave Fine the banned trinket to use.
- Red Baron: "The strongest gladiator."
- Retired Badass: Prior to becoming the colosseum's manager, she was the top gladiator.
- Scarpia Ultimatum: She demands sexual slavery from Mikagami in exchange for his continued existence. Knowing he's still to hot a commodity for her to straight up kill him, he refuses, but if he loses, even once, he won't have the option to refuse.
- Villain Takes an Interest: She becomes very, very interested in Mikagami after he defeats all four of Zayd's enforcers.
Luna[]
Zayd and Desmos! The strong women I admire! When my slaves beat Mikagami and Mary, I will take Zayd's seat!
A recently turned 15 girl who seeks to take Zayd's place at the gladiatorial arena and make her name among the aristocracy. She thinks Zayd and Desmos are praiseworthy as "strong and beautiful women," and so seeks to emulate them.
- Ain't Too Proud to Beg: Twice. A flashback in chapter 20 reveals that she bowed her head to Musashi and Suzu to plead for their aid in defeating Mikagami, purely for the chance to take Zayd's seat and roll in abundant wealth. She also does the same when she's asking Desmos for aid to deal with her debts. In the former case, it convinces the two slave gladiators to not kill her and give it their all in the colosseum. In the later case, it makes Desmos mad, getting Luna raked over the coals, almost literally.
- Ambition Is Evil: She wants to take Zayd's place as an aristocrat gladiator. In order to do it, she goes into debt with the black market to purchase Musashi and Suzu and then throws them into the ring, to spite Mikagami.
- Bring My Brown Pants: She wets herself in fear when she sees Desmos's true character.
- Fatal Flaw: Greed and naivete. She over-extended herself, horribly, for the chance to take Zayd's seat in the arena and make herself even wealthier. She bows her head, in person, to Musashi and Suzu after buying them from the black market, as slaves, taking absolutely zero precaution against betrayal, and still doesn't know that the two were intending to murder her and escape. She, presuming Desmos is noble and upright, goes to the latter for help after her loss and reveals how utterly helpless and vulnerable she is. Desmos becomes enraged, grabs her by the throat, mocks her, and then throws her out, leaving her to her own devices.
- Follow in My Footsteps: She seeks to emulate Desmos and Zayd, but especially Zayd, as an "aristocrat gladiator."
- Horrible Judge of Character: She sees Desmos and Zayd as praiseworthy for "being strong and beautiful women." She utterly fails to take account of their deeds and personality. It costs her dearly.
- Moral Myopia: Which enrages Desmos. Luna genuinely sees herself as a good and noble person despite the fact that she conned countless people out of everything they own, including their freedom, something she happily admits "as they were all morons anyway," borrowed an insane amount of money from the black market loan-sharks in order to purchase Musasho and Suzu, purely to throw them into the arena against Mikagami, knowing full well, someone was going to be taken from her lover and handed over to another, all purely for the sake of trying to make herself even wealthier, purely for its own sake. And she has the gall to want revenge against Desmos for being called out on it.
- Original Position Fallacy: Justified. She takes an enormous risk getting a loan from the black market to acquire Musashi and Suzu to send into the arena against Mikagami because the two of them have an impressive 500 battle win-streak, plus have insane stats and abilities, and to top it all off are war veterans with years of battle experience under their belt, coming out on the other end completely unscathed. So she figures Mikagami's defeat is just a matter of time.
- Riches to Rags: She enters the story a wealthy, yet sheltered, aristocrat. After chapter 19, she's hiding in the slums from debt collectors who are going to get the money she borrowed back, one way or another.
- You Have Failed Me: She is enraged at Musashi for losing the bout with Mikagami, and threatened to behead him "for being high and mighty" in promising her victory.
Musashi Sakaki[]
When I wrap up this boring fight (as the winner, of course) I can finally make Rin my wife! Oh, and I'll hand over Mary to my father as his plaything so there will be no complaints!
- Blood Knight: There is nothing he enjoys more than fighting a strong and talented foe, purely for the thrill of facing a life or death battle.
- Can't Act Perverted Toward a Love Interest: He loves his personal Shinobi, Rin (Suzu), and wants very much to marry her, which is forbidden by clan law unless he becomes the clan head and can rewrite the law in his favor. Despite being a notorious "lady killer" who has screwed countless women; noble, slave, commoner, and prostitute, when Rin strips and offers herself up for sex, he panics and insists that she should save herself for marriage.
- Complexity Addiction: He could have settled for a political marriage and enjoy Rin's company as a concubine, which Rin herself would have greatly enjoyed, seeing as all she really wants from him is to have her feelings returned with physical intimacy, including sex. Instead, he drags her along as he goes out of the country to the gladiatorial arena, looking for a worthy challenger to raise his name and his rank, putting her in jeopardy, and then overturning clan law to make her his bride, even planning to bring home a sex-slave to hand over to his father to soothe any and all ruffled feathers.
- Dramatic Irony: It's only after he convinces Luna to let him consume the "Devil's Ear" magic item to let him spy on Suzu for three days before it expires, since he's better at espionage and subterfuge, that he learns that Mikagami has a pseudo tradition of screwing his newest conquest for three days straight, and now he's stuck having those thoughts, feelings, sounds, and images coming into his head non-stop for three days.
- Half the Man He Used To Be: He loses the bout by Mary slicing him in half at the waist.
- Jumping Off the Slippery Slope: The audience is deeply sympathetic to him because the only way for him to marry his sweetheart is to gain enough war merits to become the clan head, and that requires going to another country and putting her at risk of being carried off by someone else as a sex toy, by the other country's local laws. He loses all sympathy when he proclaims his intent to hand Mary off to his own father as a sex toy "so there are no complaints" after publicly brutalizing her in the fight, knowing that Mikagami is just as much in love with Mary as he is in love with Rin.
- Ladykiller in Love: He's a notorious womanizer who's bedded countless women, regardless of station, but he loves the one woman he can not marry, Rin, and refuses to lay hands on her, even when she comes on to him.
- Madonna-Whore Complex: To him, women are either pure as the driven snow, which is to be idolized, or they're all harlots to seduce, bed, and forget. So the fact that Suzu was very, very happy to hear that Mikagami found her sexy enough to want to screw her silly for three days straight, and proceeded to invite him to do it, caused Musashi to go into a total screaming meltdown the fanbase found very gratifying.
- A Mind Is a Terrible Thing to Read: Using an illegal trinket provided by Luna to tap into Suzu's thoughts so he and Luna can try and find Mikagami's weakness to exploit, he finds out Suzu is looking forward to getting screwed silly by Mikagami for three days straight, and he's going to experience all her thoughts and emotions during the process as he can't shut it off. OOOF!!! The fanbase found his wails of despair extremely gratifying.
- Proud Warrior Race Guy: Deconstructed. In his home nation, the only way to advance your power and authority is through military merit in honorable fights. Now that his home country is at peace, having come off a "Feudal warring states" period, he has no other option to advance high enough to let him marry his sweetheart than going into Bumbledoll's gladiatorial arena and becoming the top champion. In doing so, he has to risk losing Rin to another guy as a Sex Slave, permanently.
- Sympathy for the Devil: For reasons that he just can't explain, he can't find it in himself to hate Luna, no matter how bratty she acts.
Suzu[]
- All Women Are Lustful: She deeply craves physical intimacy with Musashi and disrobed in his room, asking for sex. He refused, due to his hang-ups.
- Her response to finding herself in Mikagami's care is a hearty "He's late!" while he was being given medical treatment to restore him to health. Then when she hears from his own lips that he intends to screw her silly for three days straight, and rips off his clothes to demonstrate that it's not a joke or a bluff, her response is a very enthusiastic "COME TO MOMMA!!" where she happily spreads her legs for him. The last part has Musashi break down and wail in despair.
- Berserk Button: She responds to any insult against Musashi, intentional or otherwise, with murderous fury.
- Expendable Clone: Her magical skill allows her to make clones of herself with their own consciousness but which disappear when struck.
- Ninja: She is a Shinobi and has all the ninja tools and aesthetics.
- Questionable Content: Only because she's not legally allowed to say "no" to begin with. When Mikagami states the intention to screw her silly, she very, very happily welcomes him and internally muses "YES! Now this is what a man should be like!" switching loyalties on the spot.
- Rewarded as a Traitor Deserves: Downplayed. Considering how quickly and shamelessly she switched loyalties between Musashi and Mikagami, for no real reason (aside from the fact that she was really backed up and just wanted to be screwed silly), Mikagami doesn't trust her, at all, and has Mary bind her up and keep her under close watch while he and Marl head into the colosseum to deal with their next tag-team bout.
- Star-Crossed Lovers: She loves her master Musashi, but they can never be wed, and although he loves her back, he's firmly of the opinion that he shouldn't embrace her outside of marriage precisely because he loves her.
- Undying Loyalty: She wanted no part of Musashi's plan to rank up by going to the gladiatorial arena, but she did it because he asked nicely and she's loyal to him. Subverted when she's in Mikagami's bed and switches loyalties as a result of the fact that Mikagami is able, willing, and eager to screw her silly, which she really, really enjoys.
Alexandros Byrne[]
Haha! I understand you, Marl! Just like you! I wanted to fight a strong foe and I became a [Slave] just for the chance to fight and beat you on [Equal Footing]!
A retired general, war-hero, and high-tier aristocrat who willingly became a gladiatorial slave just for the thrill of fighting Marl Baroque in a match "on equal grounds," but the match is hardly equal since he brought in a healer who heals him with a rank 4 healing skill and locks herself behind a defensive barrier, while Mikagami, at best, can only heal Marl at half the efficacy...
- Beat Them At Their Own Game: He locks down Mikagami and Marl by throwing Mikagami's tactics of loophole abuse and his own strength enhancement skills back at them. Ouch.
- Blood Knight: He is so thrilled by combat that he willingly threw away a cushy noble title, war-hero fame, glory, and wealth, just to be a gladiatorial slave and fight Marl Baroque.
- Famed in Story: All the nobles that bet on Mikagami before the bout wanted to reverse their wagers the instant they saw him walk into the arena, as there's nobody in the country that doesn't know Alexandros!
- Genius Bruiser: He's built like a tank, same as Marl, but he's also a brilliant tactician who was able to hard-counter everything Mikagami brought to the ring.
- Know When to Fold'Em: When Mikagami figures out a way to disable Chris Ena without killing/incapacitating her, and literally turns the tables on him, breaking several of his ribs and leaving him barely able to stand, he surrenders.
- An Offer You Can't Refuse: He takes a brief break in the fight with Marl to propose she offer up her hand in "marriage" (making her the fourth of his concubines), and in return, he would take Marl and Mikagami under his wing, free them from the arena and even make Mikagami his top strategist, and to really sweeten the deal states that she can still continue to screw Mikagami silly. Marl responds with nothing but pure disgust and rage at being so thoroughly insulted.
Chris Ena[]
A nun that Alexander brings into the ring as his partner, as it turns out, under Zayd's orders.
- Big Breasts, Big Deal: Her breasts are ginormous and don't look like they would fit on her body. It's brought her nothing but all the wrong kinds of attention.
- Bring My Brown Pants: When Zayd instructs Alexander to punch her in the face, at maximum buff, she loses control of her bladder in sheer terror, even though her barrier did successfully protect her from his punches.
- Conveniently an Orphan: She was orphaned in infancy and that's why she became a nun, as female orphans tend to be taken in by the church and raised into nuns, starting in infancy.
- Covert Pervert: She's actually very, very lustful and is a huge fan of erotic literature, but her vows of chastity as a nun forbade her from engaging in the carnal pleasures she craves. When she wakes up after the bout between her team and Mikagami's, her reaction at learning her team lost and she's now, by law, required to be Mikagami's sex slave is not fear, despair, disgust, or any of the expected negative emotions, but instead overwhelming excitement because now she can be screwed silly all she likes while still not technically breaking her vows, as she has no control over her agency. It quickly stops being covert after she winds up in Mikagami's service.
- Crippling Overspecialization: All she's got going for her is her barrier and heal skills. She's otherwise completely helpless.
- Dark and Troubled Past: She used to run an orphanage and was well loved by the children, but bandits broke in to loot, murder, and rape. In a panic, she mastered her [Absolute Defense] and [Heal] skills, shielding herself and the orphans, and healing those who were wounded in the initial attack, which then caught Zayd's eye...
- Fastball Special: Once Mikagami is able to get past her barrier by getting her to laugh at his antics, he tickles her into submission and then throws her at Alexander, causing her to panic and activate her barrier, which only serves to hurt him more on impact.
- Good Shepherd: Unlike Zayd, who only pretends to be a pious nun, Chris Ena actually is, and paid dearly for it.
- Green-Eyed Monster: She's not alone at being a lustful nun who was drafted into the position from infancy, but all her peers were courted by and married off to nobles, while she was left behind in the church, only able to get her desires fulfilled via erotic literature concerning the colosseum, which is the one vice the nuns are allowed to enjoy, seeing as the colosseum is a huge part of their country's culture, and she resented them for it, envious of them escaping their vows of chastity by marriage. This is yet another reason why she's looking forward to being Mikagami's sex toy.
- Guy-On-Guy Is Hot: When she learns that Fine used to be a guy before being dragged into the colosseum and is now not only one of Mikagami's harem but is actually good friends with her "master," Chris whips out her little notebook, starts hyperventilating, and begins writing juicy boy on boy erotica!
- Lovable Coward: She is very cowardly, which serves her just fine as her barrier gets stronger the more scared she is, and outside of dangerous situations, she's a very good and kind woman.
- Naughty Nuns: She is a legitimate nun and takes her duties seriously, but she's also desperately horny and extremely perverted. She's ecstatic to find herself in Mikagami's service, and when she learns Fine and Mikagami are very, very close friends, immediately jumps into Yaoi Fangirl imagine spots.
- No Good Deed Goes Unpunished: The fact that she rescued a bunch of orphans from bandits at terrible risk to herself only serves to put her on Zayd's radar and that clearly does not go well.
- Paralyzing Fear of Sexuality: As much as she craves carnal pleasure, she also fears sexuality, as she's a complete virgin who never had a boyfriend, received romantic overtures, nor even wedding proposals. She was so busy arguing with herself that she never noticed that she dressed herself in the traditional slave garb nor that she was being led by Mikagami to the luxury suite she's going to be sharing with him (and the rest of his slave harem) until he goes "we're here" and she's completely shocked, unable to process the situation she's in.
- Personality Powers: Her barrier and healing skills come about as a direct result of her desire to help others and cowardly nature.
- Reluctant Warrior: She had no say in going to the colosseum, at all. Zayd handed her over to Alexander in return for a hefty "donation." Her input was summarily ignored.
Vivian[]
Bet on me, boys! I know Mikagami's weakness! Even Alice Cotton can't help him now!
Formerly known as "The Weakest Gladiator" before Mikagami came into play. She's got a grudge-match with Alice that the latter started.
- Badass Boast: While drinking in a tavern prior to the scheduled team match against Mikagami and Alice, she boasts that people better bet on her as she knows their weaknesses and can beat them, hands down. she loses, but it was a real nail-biting match and it was damn close.
- Blood Knight: Unlike Mikagami, she loves being a gladiator, win or lose, as when she was a pre-war civilian, she lived in a village where everyone's fate was set, even before birth. In the colosseum, she never knows how the battle will end, and loves the sheer unpredictability of it all.
- Casual Kink: The whole "taunt and insult" thing she does isn't just for the arena. She does it in the bedroom too, and she's also into erotic asphyxiation. In fact, she's elated when Alice shows up to try and sexually humiliate her because that's the kind of thing she likes most!
- Distaff Counterpart: She's the female version of Mikagami, or to be precise, Mikagami is the male version of her, seeing as she was a colosseum gladiator first.
- Eyepatch of Power: She wears an eyepatch over one eye and she became, prior to Mikagami, a gladiator who wins bouts by strategies, tactics, precise taunts, and plenty of raw grit, as well as magic items to make up for lack of magical [skills].
- Graceful Loser: When she lost a gladiator match, she never developed a grudge, she just accepted the outcome as it came. Ghi buys her as a direct result and teaches her how to be a winner in the colosseum.
- Made a Slave: She was captured in war and forced into slavery at one time in the past. She wound up being bought by Ghi and put into the colosseum as a result.
- Red Baron: Two. "Weakest Gladiator" prior to Mikagami and "Giant Slayer" for defeating gladiators way stronger than herself.
- Shameless Fanservice Girl: She makes Marl look downright conservative by comparison, and the latter has no problems with showing off her nether regions to Mikagami.
Ghi[]
A half-human, half-ratkin merchant who got extremely wealthy exploiting the vices of others, just so he can exist in society without being the constant butt of scorn and ridicule. He puts Vivian into the ring against Mikagami to try and win Desmos's favor.
- Amazon Chaser: The women he finds most beautiful are not just physically strong but have immense personal drive. He finds both Desmos and Alice exceptionally gorgeous as a result of both of them having these traits.
- The Bet: Being unable to legally bet during the bout because he's the owner of Vivian, he makes a private wager with Desmos. If his team wins, she will spend one night with him. If he loses, she takes all he owns. He lost, but it was damn close.
- Dark and Troubled Past: Born the child of a prostitute, father unknown, who was then dumped in an orphanage and left to his own devices, he suffered extreme torment and ridicule, even being named after his unique whistling laugh, rather than his birth name. As such, he became desperate to escape his straits and the only way he knew how was to become insanely wealthy. He succeeds.
- Honest Corporate Executive: Which is why he's a trusted merchant despite driving countless fools to ruin. He never, ever lies or misrepresents himself when he's selling his wares, nor buying goods for that matter, nor in giving out loans. If someone is driven to ruin by doing business with him, it's the poor sod's own fault.
- Saying Too Much: He can't help but cry out "beautiful" when he first lays eyes on Desmos, which takes her back a moment, and then when Alice wins the match by sheer grit, does the same. Desmos herself admires his honesty, but walks away, chagrined.
- Sergeant Rock: He's the one who trained Vivian how to be an effective and dangerous colosseum opponent, with brutal and harsh training. And she loved every minute of it.
Paula[]
The second member of Vivian's team.
- Aren't You Going to Ravish Me?: When Ghi first purchased her, as a child slave, she presumed he was going to rape her. When he didn't, she began resenting him, wondering if he wasn't trying to insult her somehow. It's even worse when he set her free because all she could do was fixate on her weaknesses, a trait he despises.
- Vitriolic Best Buds: She and Vivian are a great team, but off the battle-field, they bicker just for the heck of it.
- Back to Reincarnation Colosseum
