- Crowning Moment of Heartwarming: After Christopher Reeve was paralyzed, he was naturally very distraught about what was going to happen to him. Then, at an especially bleak moment, the door flew open and in hurried a squat fellow with a blue scrub hat and a yellow surgical gown and glasses, speaking in a Russian accent. The man announced that he was a proctologist and was going to perform a rectal exam on Reeve. It was Reeve's old college roommate and friend Robin Williams, reprising his character from the film Nine Months. Reeve wrote latter in his memoir: "For the first time since the accident, I laughed. My old friend had helped me know that somehow I was going to be okay.:
- Dude, Not Funny: In his stand-up special "Live on Broadway", he jokes that the military is alternatively dropping bombs and food relief on Afghanistan, and because they both appear as small yellow packages, "you're playing Survivor the real game". This is actually a very serious problem, the cluster bombs dropped do look similar to food relief packages and didn't always explode on impact, and thus lay in the dirt undetonated until some poor sap looking for a meal comes by...
- Seinfeld Is Unfunny: He used to be a genuinely innovative and hilarious comedian, but you wouldn't know it by talking to people who've only seen his recent stuff.
