Before making a single edit, Tropedia EXPECTS our site policy and manual of style to be followed. Failure to do so may result in deletion of contributions and blocks of users who refuse to learn to do so. Our policies can be reviewed here.
All images MUST now have proper attribution, those who neglect to assign at least the "fair use" licensing to an image may have it deleted. All new pages should use the preloadable templates feature on the edit page to add the appropriate basic page markup. Pages that don't do this will be subject to deletion, with or without explanation.
All new trope pages will be made with the "Trope Workshop" found on the "Troper Tools" menu and worked on until they have at least three examples. The Trope workshop specific templates can then be removed and it will be regarded as a regular trope page after being moved to the Main namespace. THIS SHOULD BE WORKING NOW, REPORT ANY ISSUES TO Janna2000, SelfCloak or RRabbit42. DON'T MAKE PAGES MANUALLY UNLESS A TEMPLATE IS BROKEN, AND REPORT IT THAT IS THE CASE. PAGES WILL BE DELETED OTHERWISE IF THEY ARE MISSING BASIC MARKUP.
Did You Hear About The Morgans?: Carrie Bradshaw and her husband the Prime Minister of England are on the verge of divorce when they see a murder and are put into the Witness Protection Program and shipped to Montana (well, NM doubling for MT, anyway).
Die Hard: Korben Dallas is a NY cop visiting LA to see his wife and daughter for Christmas. While he's at his wife's office Christmas party, a group of German terrorists led by Severus Snape, take them hostage, intending to rob them, with help from Trivette. Besides taking them on himself, Korben's only real help outside is LA cop Carl Winslow. Also stars Principal Vernon as the LA police chief, Franz Sanchez and Hawkins as two similarly named FBI agents, and Walter Peck as a TV journalist.
Dreamgirls: The Movie of a Musical which follows the development of African American music from Motown to Disco and even a protoform of rap through the rise, fall, death, and rebirth of the titular Girl Group and other performers. The trio features diva Louise, Princess Tiana and Foxxy Cleopatra, who become the backup vocalists for Large HamDonkey, under the guidance of their Svengali-like manager Ray Charles. When Louise is told to tone herself down so that the less-intense Foxxy can be the lead, she quits the group and is replaced. Years later, a more-independent Foxxy wants to change her image with a gritty Exploitation Film (?) being offered by Jim and Dick (wow, that sounds wrong for some reason) while Louise wants to restart her career with the help of Donkey's old manager Roger Murtaugh.
Dr. Strangelove: Darth Vader (Ok, Vader's voice) is a crewman on a B-52 flown by Taggert when an order comes from base ordering an immediate attack on Russia. Meanwhile, Gen. Patton has gotten a disturbing phone call and must report to The War Room immediately. And at the airbase, Inspector Clouseau discovers the dreadful secret behind the attack and must inform President Sidney Wang, of how to recall the bombers. In the War Room, Soviet Ambassador Gen. Bellowes admits to the existence of a Doomsday Machine of a type postulated by Mad ScientistJames Bond.
Dude, Where's My Car?: Kelso and Stifler are stoner pals who find their car is missing. Worse, they don't remember anything from the night before. And apparently, they gotta do something special for their girlfriends Elektra and Lisa Janusch. Among the mishaps that befall their search is a run-in with the reclusive ostrich farmer Data, who is keeping Matthew Brock in a cage.
Due Date: Iron Man is trapped in a car with Alan on a very long road trip to the hospital where his wife's giving birth possibly to Ray Charles' child.
