Roseanne/Awesome

• Roseanne and Dan have just found out that Rosanne's sister, Jackie, was being physically abused by her boyfriend. As Rosanne takes Jackie to the hospital, Dan just stands there, looking very pissed... before grabbing his coat and stomping out the door, clearly out for blood. Half the studio audience did the standard dramatic "Ohhh!" The other half applauded.

Roseanne: Well, what did he say? Dan: Mostly "Ow, ow, my head."

• • A better moment is later on when the police come to arrest Dan after Fisher calls the police afterwards. Dan insists on going along quietly.
  • Also, from the second half of the two parter of the above episode, Roseanne's final words to Jackie's boyfriend, Fisher:

Roseanne: You just make sure you never come near Jackie again, because to get to her, you'll have to get through me, and I'm a lot more dangerous than Dan. I own a loose meat restaurant; I know what to do with the body.

The episode "Don't Make Me Over" sees Becky and Darlene buy Roseanne a make-over on Mother's Day, but in hopes of using it as a bribe, hoping she'll allow them to go to a concert five hours away unchaperoned. Roseanne is outraged, then heartbroken when she learns the truth and tells Dan, who then really lets loose in Tranquil Fury:

• Dan: [after calling out the girls] First of all, let's just say that, you going away for a weekend to a rock concert with the nearest adult five hours away, that was never gonna happen, no matter how you sucked up!
• Becky: [in apathy] Well, it's unanimous.
• Darlene: [sarcastically] Yeah, I guess that about wraps it up.
• Dan: I don't think so.
• Becky: Okay, we'll apologize to her before she, like, explodes.
• [Darlene snickers]
• Dan: She's not gonna 'like, explode'; she's too busy crying her eyes out. [the girls pause at this] I'm the one you gotta worry about, 'cause I'm VERY angry, and I don't like you very much right now.
• Becky: [uncaringly] Oh, so now we're all supposed to apologize to you?
• Dan: Shut up! [turns to Darlene] And so I don't have to say it again in a minute, you shut up, too! Now you guys just don't get it. You see, she thought you were actually going to do something nice for her, you know, like you cared. And that would've been the very best thing you could've done for her today, and you just ruined it.
• Darlene: Well, what should we do?
• Dan: You're gonna make it up to her.
• Becky: [solemnly] Alright, we'll think of something.
• Dan: No, no, you had your chance... now it's my turn. [Dan leaves as Becky and Darlene go silent]
• In the end, Dan takes Roseanne out to dinner, leaving the girls behind to contemplate what they did. In the final act, Dan's punishment is revealed: Becky and Darlene are made to spend the weekend with Grandma Bev, suggesting she show her grandkids vacation slides and making Darlene sing show tunes for the garden club.

The episode "Roseambo". Roseanne kicking some serious terrorist ass was awesome enough, but when one of the remaining guys snuck through the window and tried to attack, Mark immediately whirls around and shoves the guy through an open window.

Roseanne: Mark, remember all those times you screwed up? This isn't one of them.
