Also known as RT, Russia Today is a multi-lingual TV Network Station based in Russia owned by a government owned media outlet. The network shows various things from sports coverage to Russian cultural programs but it is most notable for its news service. The network itself was controversial and had been criticized for being biased towards Russia and her allies and for being used as a platform for the point of view of both the extreme right and the extreme left.
While it is a television news network, it is also known for its YouTube channel. The English language channel, known for people with Eastern European accent speaking English, had garnered viewers to the point that it is the second most watched foreign network in the United States (behind The BBC). Like Al Jazeera, the network coverage was mostly aimed at the international market rather than the domestic.
