You may have read Ban on Politics and want to ask: Why does the page exist? Isn't it a replication? No. Selective Ban on Politics is different from Ban on Politics. Here are the explanations about the differences.
First, examples of Selective Ban on Politics show that it is often enforced by the forum member or authority. If it is the former, the forum is high likely for people who hold certain ideology. If it is the latter, it is likely that the authority attempts to prevent certain politics topics from being discussed or even mentioned. Either way, the ban does not apply to every discussion of politics.
Second, because of the selective nature of the ban, discussion of politics which is not banned exists. Such discussion is approved or encouraged. In some extreme cases, such discussion may even include purposely advocating of Flame War against Acceptable Political Targets mostly under the belief With Us or Against Us (even if the forum is not specifically about political events), which is slightly different from Ban on Politics.
