- Gintama is refrenced when Gintoki runs into a cosplayer of himself.

- Kamui went to McDonald's after he went to Sanji and Robin's.
- When Shinpachi arrived at Gintoki's apartment with good news, Gintoki wonders if the new chapter of D.Gray-man came out.
- Shinpachi tells everyone that he saved a bunch of money on his car insurance by switching to Geico.
- Kagura fist-pumps Jersey Shore-styled. It's Hilarious in Hindsight since Oxenstierna D. Yuki-Rin (the authoress of the fic) has stated somewhere before that she hates Jersey Shore.
