The second game of the Skylanders series and the sequel to Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure. Released in October 2012 on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.

This game introduces the Giants, the first group of Skylanders from 10,000 years ago. In the final battle against the Arkeyans, the Giants were banished to Earth, and were not discovered until thousands of years later. There are also 8 new Core Skylanders, as well as reposed (Series 2) versions of Skylanders from the previous game, and LightCore Skylanders, who light up when they touch the Portal.

The game was met with mostly positive reviews, with critics praising the fact that Skylanders from the previous game could be used as well. Some criticism was given for the game having visuals too similar to the first game and the lack of online play.

  • Our Giants Are Bigger: The titular new feature of Giants.
  • Reformulated Game: Like with the predecessor, the 3DS version has different levels. This time, the 3DS version features Captain Frightbeard as the main villain.
  • Slippy-Slidey Ice World: Glacier Gully.
