Sovisa was a humor-themed weekly comic strip written and illustrated by Aaron Grade for The Peak, the campus newspaper for Simon Fraser University, from 2003 to 2005. It cenetered on a group of four characters:

  • Ryn Bergerac, a Blood Knight bordering on Psycho for Hire;
  • Travis Callen, a Snark-ridden chap with a liking for card tricks and gambling;
  • Alexi Carlov, a former Eastern European army mechanic with a generally serious demeanor, and
  • Edward Olsen, a fairly pompous gentleman with a tendency toward jerk-ism.

The setting of the comic could best be summed up as "schizophrenic", with events and sequences taking place pretty much wherever was handy for whatever joke the author came up with that week. Continuity was generally minimal, though a few sequences toward the latter days of the comic were more storyline driven, spanning several weeks. The comic came to an end when its author graduated in 2005.
