  • Meta example: DC Comics hired Jack Kirby to redesign his characters, leading to an unprecedented deal where he finally got royalties for his characters, as well as publishing the last major Kirby comics work in the "Super Powers" comics.
  • The episode where a Mad Scientist transfers most of the heroes' powers into his Frankenstein's Monster; Robin gets charged up in the same way to fight it, and after battling it to an exhausting stalemate, comes up with a genuinely clever way of incapacitating the thing long enough for the powers to be restored to their rightful owners.
  • Everything that takes place in "The Fear", the first animated rendition of Batman's origins. Of special note are: how Batman unmasks his supposed ally, Professor Crane, as the Scarecrow aka the Big Bad of the episode and how he conquers his fears to save himself, Robin and Wonder Woman.
  • Superman gets a very nice moment when he faces a Brainwashed and Crazy Wonder Woman and debrainwashes her via first wrapping the Lasso of Truth around her and then asking her if she's his friend or his foe.
  • Firestorm is captured and put in a trap that's specifically made to deal with his powers. He solves this via splitting himself in Robbie and Professor Stein.
