Tropedia

  • Before making a single edit, Tropedia EXPECTS our site policy and manual of style to be followed. Failure to do so may result in deletion of contributions and blocks of users who refuse to learn to do so. Our policies can be reviewed here.
  • All images MUST now have proper attribution, those who neglect to assign at least the "fair use" licensing to an image may have it deleted. All new pages should use the preloadable templates feature on the edit page to add the appropriate basic page markup. Pages that don't do this will be subject to deletion, with or without explanation.
  • All new trope pages will be made with the "Trope Workshop" found on the "Troper Tools" menu and worked on until they have at least three examples. The Trope workshop specific templates can then be removed and it will be regarded as a regular trope page after being moved to the Main namespace. THIS SHOULD BE WORKING NOW, REPORT ANY ISSUES TO SelfCloak. DON'T MAKE PAGES MANUALLY UNLESS A TEMPLATE IS BROKEN, AND REPORT IT THAT IS THE CASE. PAGES WILL BE DELETED OTHERWISE IF THEY ARE MISSING BASIC MARKUP.

  • Approval of God: Action Taimanin's official twitter reveals that many of the staff members who works on the Taimanin franchise do read through the pages here on Tropedia.
  • Dueling Games: The first Taimanin released on October 2005, the same month as the Tinker Bell's first Inyouchuu game, which also involves the brutal rape of action heroines by monsters. Getchu sales' statistics shows the first Inyouchuu as the clear winner, with TA1 not even charting on the top 20 of the site while the other game made to top 5(the number 1, was, by the way, Fate/hollow ataraxia) but both series and developers thrived on, received sequels, and were adapted into OVAs nonetheless.
  • The Other Marty: In Action Taimanin, Asagi was originally voiced by Ami Koshimizu, however, for unknown reasons, it was announced that she would be replaced with another voice actress, known as Sayumi Watabe. Furthermore, all of Koshimizu's lines for Asagi were completely omitted from the game, and replaced with new rerecorded lines by Watabe.
  • Role Reprisal: In the RPGX/Black Lagoon crossover, Megumi Toyoguchi, Mami Koyama, and Michie Tomizawa each reprise their roles as Revy, Balalaika, and Roberta respectively.
  • Shout-Out: There are quite shout outs to other series, mythology, etc if you are paying attention.
    • Let's see: a hidden village where ninjas train and go on missions, wear brightly colored outfits that makes them stick out like sore thumbs, a main character who has a evil power lurking inside them, and the have a variety of ninjutsu at there disposal. Basically the hentai version of Naruto.
    • While discussing the Raiden powered armor suits, Sakura makes a joke that references Neon Genesis Evangelion.
    • Interestingly enough Edwin Black draws a few parallels from Hindu mythology. His true form seems to draw a lot of inspiration from Shiva the Hindu god of destruction, avenging and creation. Like most Hindu gods, he has multiple arms, a third eye and weapons that corresponds with Ones that Shiva uses. Even in the second eroge he shows up disguised as a Raksasha, another being from Hindu mythology.
    • The chaos arena wrestling scene from the first visual novel game and OVA involving Asagi and Power lady eerily mirrors an almost identical scene from an obscure hentai short story manga written by Toshio Maeda known as Monzetsu Lezu Match, especially the part where Power Lady forces Asagi to take in a large dildo. This isn't the first time the series has taken cues from Maeda's works, since the Taimanin franchise as a whole takes a lot of inspiration from La Blue Girl.
  • What Could Have Been: Originally, the "Sakura" that is playable in Action Taimanin was suppose to be from an Alternate Timeline that ended up stranded in Action's dimension, which is meant to explain her younger appearance in comparison to the other Taimanin like Asagi and Murasaki. This was however scrapped shortly after the game was released. But due an oversight in the client they forgot to remove the early draft of Sakura's character bio. This was eventually fixed, so now the playable Sakura is a native of the Action's timeline.
  • The Wiki Rule: Has a few, like here that focuses on the lore of the "Taimanin-verse" and this one that focuses more on Action Taimanin's game mechanics.
