I think the Unpopular Popular Character should be a combination of being:
- Loved by fans (Ensemble Darkhorse)
- Hated by the writers (Creator's Pest)
- Put into little to no scenes for no reason (Non-Protagonist Resolver)
- Hated or mocked by the other characters (whatever the opposite of Character Shilling is)
Unless it meets all of this criteria, then it doesn't fit.
- Tropedia does things differently from TV Tropes. As stated in this article, under the section titled Copying how TV Tropes does things, "Being consistent with TV Tropes is never a consideration for what Tropedia chooses to do.
