- The Shredder is one nasty piece of shit. For starters, his response to Tang Shen loving his rival Hamato Yoshi is to track them down and kill them both. Years later, he brainwashes runaway teenagers into becoming his lakeys by putting the front of a caring father figure all while regularly abusing them. And when the Foot kidnaps Splinter, it is implied it was him who tortured the poor father for information on the Turtles, Splinter's own kids. And once he comes face-to-face with the Turtles, the Shredder manages to overpower them and provokes Leonardo into attacking him in blind rage, after which he overpowers Leo and threatens to kill him in front of his brothers unless they drop their weapons... after which he trues to do it anyway.
- After Splinter outs the Shredder as Oroku Saki, Raphael utters "It's him!" in a shaken voice tone, meaning the Turtles knew of Saki and Yoshi all along. This completly recontextualizes what the Turtles went througth. Imagine hearing stories from your father about a murderous boogeyman that, unlike most boogeymans, is real and could be out there. Now imagine that a criminal organization kidnaps your father, almost kills you or your brother, and leaves you homeless. Now imagine learning that the leader of said organization, who almost either murders you or a brother of yours in front of you, is the boogeyman you heard of througth your life. The whole ordeal could easily be the plot for a horror film.
- Sure, the Shredder had it coming and he somehow survived, but still, being crushed by a compact truck is a nasty way to go.
