- Box Office Bomb: The LA film's budget was $35 million. Its box office take? $1,696,665. Never theatrically released in America, the poor showing was especially incredible in Japan.
- Hey, It's That Voice!:
Jin: "WRRRYYYYYY!!!!!" |
- Ash Ketchum joined the King of Iron Fist Tournament 6?
- Nina Williams is about to hack your cyberbrain.
- Heihachi Mishima is Earth's greatest champion.
- Dr. Tenma joined the King of Iron Fist Tournament 6?
- Paul shares a voice actor with Kalas in latter games.
- Star-Making Role: For Isshin Chiba (Jin) and Ryoko Shiraishi (Asuka)
- The Other Darrin: Like in many long-lived franchises, there have been many voice shuffles. Especially non-JPN charas: up until 4 everyone has JPN VA's voicing them, but from then on Namco tended to hire non-JPN voice actors for foreigner characters (save for Lee, Xiaoyu, Alisa and Lars, who still speak Japanese).
- Curiously used in the Pachinslot games. The Italian exorcist Claudio Serafino has an Italian VA in Tekken 7 (Diego Baldoin aka Ezio from Assassin's Creed), but in one of the Pachinko machines he's voiced by the very Japanese Kosuke Toriumi. Probably because the Pachinslot game is solely intended to be played in Japan.
- After the deaths of BOTH Daisuke Gouri and Unsho Ishizuka, Taiten Kusunoki has stepped up to play Heihachi in the Tekken: Bloodline anime. One will have to see if he keeps the role in future projects.
- Role Reprisal: Speaking of Bloodline, Yumi Touma and Toshiyuki Morikawa return to the franchise to play Nina Williams and Hwoarang, respectively. Similarly, Julia Chang is voiced by Seiko Yoshida aka her actress from Street Fighter X Tekken.
