The Apples In Stereo is an indie group associated with the Elephant 6 Collective, a group of bands which also includes Of Montreal, Neutral Milk Hotel, and The Olivia Tremor Control. The band is largely a product of lead vocalist/guitarist Robert Schneider, who writes the majority of the band's music and lyrics. The band's work draws strong comparisons to the Psychedelic Rock work of The Beatles and The Beach Boys during The Sixties.

They are perhaps best known in popular culture (if at all) for "Signal in the Sky (Let's Go)," which appeared in The Powerpuff Girls Movie.
