  • One of the many things that bugged me about The Redemption of Althalus was that the bad guys- Ghend, Gelta, Khnom, Koman, Pekhal and Argan- all lived in different times, whereas excepting Althalus, the good guys-Eliar, Andine, Leitha, Gher and Bheid- all live in the same time. I was wondering why this would be the case when it hit me: a recurring problem throughout the book is that the good guys are drastically behind the bad guys- the bad guys have known each other for longer, have more experience with their magic, and have more connections, whereas the good guys are hastily throwing everything together at the last second and dealing with all their problems. And they still win. The point is that good will always defeat evil even when they're struggling with traitors, religious issues, armies and bad guys with magic doors at the same time.- User:Zadia
