For a franchise aimed at children and teenagers, the Kamen Rider series has had many examples, ranging from low-functioning brutes to high-functioning egotists. Most of the notable examples on this list even include human villains.
- Kamen Rider Ryuki:
- Takeshi Asakura/Kamen Rider Ouja never bothers hiding his psychotic personality to anyone he faces. The fact he is a sadistic Serial Killer who joined the Rider War just so he could kill people for fun with no one to get in his way.
- Masashi Sudo/Kamen Rider Scissors is a Dirty Cop who touts his Rider powers to commit illegal acts, going as far as to kill those who expose him.
- Jun Shibaura/Kamen Rider Gai enjoys manipulating people for his own pathological desires and treating the Rider Battle as a mere game.
- Kamen Rider 555:
- Masato Kusaka/Kamen Rider Kaixa is the most iconic example in the series. Kusaka is driven by two things, a desire to kill all Orphnochs and to have Mari all to himself. Despite this, Kusaka is also exceptionally charismatic and manages to keep his true nature hidden from nearly everyone (except Takumi), and a skilled manipulator who effortlessly sabotages Takumi and Kiba's friendship for his own goals.
- Kitazaki/Dragon Orphnoch is a hedonistic example. What Kusaka has in charisma, Kitazaki has in cruelty. Unlike Kusaka, Kitazaki makes no attempt to hide this, and shows that he's a heartless person even if he's not in battle and has no problem trying to murder a child -- said child happens to be the Orphnoch King -- to make a point.
- Leo from The Movie shares the same level of sociopathy as the aforementioned Kitazaki, but nevertheless he's better at hiding it from others. On top of that, Leo considers himself superior to humans, but has no qualms fighting and killing other Orphnochs for the sake of it.
- Kamen Rider Wizard:
- Phoenix, being the muscle among the Chief Phantoms lacks any self-restraint whatsoever, and makes no attempt hiding his impulses to turn people into Phantoms haphazardly. Makes sense why Wiseman had to put him on a leash and Medusa keeping an eye on him.
- Even worse than Phoenix is Gremlin, better known by his Gate's name of Sora Takigawa. Sora is a realistic example much like the real-life serial killer Ted Bundy, he is able to charm young women into trusting him so he can kill them without interference and while around others can pretend to be a normal likeable guy. As the plot unfolds Sora has shown that he is an actual sociopath. He shows a grandiose sense of self worth about himself, has a superficial charm that makes certain people like and trust him instantly, has poor impulse control announcing his plans just to get a rise out of people even when it threatens his position, is easily bored and comes up with complicated scenarios to amuse himself or hurt people, is a natural manipulator, and has a complete Lack of Empathy outside of being a Manipulative Bastard or Jerkass.
- Kamen Rider Gaim: Ryoma Sengoku is a psychopathic Mad Scientist for the Yggdrasill Corporation who designed the Sengoku Drivers and sees his research as the pinnacle of human creation. Despite supposedly working to save humanity, Ryoma cares nothing for others and works to hinder Yggdrasill's efforts to halt the Helheim Forest, desiring to claim its Forbidden Fruit to become a god. Ryoma hides his dark ambitions under a friendly personality, including from his close friend and boss Takatora Kureshima, whom Ryoma later coldly backstabs when their goals diverge.
- Kamen Rider Drive: Tenjuro Banno takes the trend of sociopathic scientists to a whole new level. A self-absorbed Narcissist and the former research partner of Krim Steinbelt, until Banno's sociopathic urges led to their friendship falling a part. Despite this, Banno refuses to accept any wrong-doing and instead blames Krim for their partnership ending, installing negative emotions in his Roidmude androids to trigger a robot uprising as a way to spite Krim. Caring nothing for anyone except himself, Banno is willing to throw his own son under the bus in order to get ahead and desires to enslave all of humanity to force them to bow down to him.
- Kamen Rider Ex-Aid: Masamune Dan is a high-functioning example, even more so than his son Kuroto. Particularly given the only emotions he seems capable of genuinely showing are sadistic joy and rage when slighted (fitting the shallow emotions symptom), and him viewing everyone except himself as 'products' rather than people to the point of being willing to make them 'out of stock' without a moments regret if it suits him. He's also able to pretend to be an up standing CEO and play the system such as his son and Parado did all the set up for his plan without him being legally considered responsible for it. And of course, like his son, he has a rather pronounced god complex.
- Kamen Rider Build
- Evolto, while keeping a flippant and cheerful exterior, he'll enjoy making your life an utter complete hell in a cataclysmic scale. To him, everyone else he manipulates are nothing more but stress toys for him to break.
- His brother, Killbus is way worse, to the point he not only wants to destroy everything, but himself included.
- Juzaburo Namba is both the only villain who's in no way affected by the Pandora Box and the one who's the most decisively rotten to the core. Namba manipulates and plays everyone for his own ends, including the Namba Children as his personal Tyke Bomb minions, is able to masquerade as a Villain with Good Publicity, and human life means absolutely nothing to him to the point of starting a war solely for his own gain.
- Kamen Rider Zi-O
- Swartz is a straightforward textbook sociopath; Swartz sees everything or everyone around him as a means to an end, being calculating and manipulative. He sees his fellow Time Jackers as beneath him, going as far as to use Heure as the host for Another Kikai. He is incapable of empathy, having the audacity to outright ignore the opinions of others (from his underlings, contract holders, and even the heroes).
- The same can be said for Ora. She treats the only person that cares about her like dirt and is only capable of feigning empathy to manipulate the people around her.
- Yuko Kitajima. Upon finding out that she was never framed for murder to begin with but actually did the crime: the killing of her ex-boyfriend's Second Love, she exhibits signs of a pathological liar under the delusional pretense of having no accountability of the act.
- Kamen Rider Zero-One: Gai Amatsu/Kamen Rider Thouser is another textbook example of whose expression of genuine happiness mainly come from whenever he benefits from something, has little to zero consideration of others, even on those he's close with, has no problem being underhanded and manipulative towards heroes and other villains alike, and was the instigator of the series' events that he never takes responsibility or shows remorse for, all while having a decent public image.
