- In the same scene the saddest part is when Arthur just realizes how seriously heart-broken she is and he looks genuinely remorseful knowing he can't do anything to makes her happy. One of the storybook adaptations has him try to soften the blow by comforting her, telling her to not give up on finding a real squirrel to love her. You still just want to hug her, though.
- Not surprising why there's quite a bit of fan fiction that has the girl squirrel being turned into a human so she can be with Arthur. One fan-made video on YouTube even edits in the Blue Fairy from Pinocchio to do the deed (and it's surprisingly well done).
- Arthur's Heroic BSOD after losing the chance to become Kay's squire. Even Merlin felt sorry for him.
