- The protagonist of the first Tomie story apparently grew up with the series' villain. There is literally no good way to read those implications. Most likely, the girl she grew up with was a child who was intentionally or unintentionally "infected" with Tomie. In that case, her parents were either under her sway, or unaware that they were, in fact, raising a Humanoid Abomination. Neither is exactly a good thing. The other possibility is that the Tomie she knew was the first Tomie, and started out as a normal teenager who was just murdered and dismembered by her classmates. In that case, whatever Tomie is now, she wasn't that way to start out.
- In some stories featuring Tomie, it's shown that she can regenerate to a level that goes beyond From a Single Cell, straight to being able to survive an attempt at immolation and rise again from dust and ashes. If that's the case, then she could presumably create a large number of duplicates of herself by reducing her body to incredibly fine dust and then spreading it over a large area. Thank god that no one's ever invented any sort of weapon that Tomie could convince a handful of people to use that could vaporize a person and then transport their ashes into the high-speed wind currents in the stratohshit.
