Basic Trope: Character becomes more of a Jerkass over time.
- Straight: Squishy Wizard Leon starts out as an Aloof Ally with a hint of Deadpan Snarker, but he still clearly respects his Nakama. However, over time he degrades into an Insufferable Genius Jerkass who openly takes delight in the misery of others.
- Exaggerated: Leon starts out as a Shrinking Violet with a touch of cynicism, a sorcerer wearing Jade-Colored Glasses. By the end of the series, he has devolved into a snarky asshole who wouldn't give a damn if his companions were horribly slaughtered and the whole world went to hell.
- Downplayed: Leon was a Nice Guy to a slightly reckless jerk.
- Justified: Leon is the team's Butt Monkey and a Cosmic Plaything.
- Inverted: Took a Level In Kindness.
- Subverted: Leon suddenly acts like a total Jerkass, but in reality it's a defense mechanism because he's stressed out.
