Broken Base: Was the series a fun romp that wasn't meant to be taken too seriously or a narmy piece of Fan Wank that failed to take advantage of its own very interesting ideas?
Thanks to his Ascended Meme status and general adorableness, Ravage gained a lot of fans. Pictures of him waving with variations on his Catch Phrase "Can U C me totally waving @ U!!!!!!" are common, and often even people who don't know much about the rest of the continuity will still know all about him, despite him being a very minor character in the actual plot.
Since the original comic was the only story available outside the fanclub, not only is it the only part of the universe most people know, but many folks also don't even know there were more stories.
Averted when compared to IDW's Shattered Glass stories. Their take on the concept is considered to be the far superior one.
Friendly Fandoms: When it ended, in late 2015/early 2016, Shattered Glass suddenly became very friendly with Transformers Prime with many Shattered Glass Prime AUs popping up on the internet.
Ho Yay: Starscream's behavior around Megatron tends to vacillate between "fussing mother hen" and "teenage schoolgirl with a crush".
Hype Backlash: The concept of a Mirror Universe long predates Transformers but when Shattered Glass made it official, it was the greatest thing since Primus. But then every other Transformers series was expected to have a Shattered Glass joke or reference. And as the fandom latched onto the idea more and more, usually having wholly original plots, the original Shattered Glass comic looks like a cheap idea that was scribbled out in twenty minutes.
Seinfeld Is Unfunny: When Fun Publications released this comic, fans took anything they could get for an official TransformersMirror Universe and, despite all its flaws, this comic was enjoyed for the simple fact that a fan dream finally existed. Then IDW Publishing released their own much Darker and Edgier take on Shattered Glass, and this pioneering comic was looked on as though it were a piece of rust.
They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: As time passed, and the series became more Mythology Gags than anything else, people started to feel that the whole concept was this as the writers seem more interested in showing off the more obscure elements of TF lore than telling a new story.
