- Fan Nickname: Mitsubushi Trigger for Glitter Trigger Eternity due to its Color Timer is basically the Mitsubishi Motors' logo upside down.
- I Knew It!: Ignis being rumored to become Trigger Dark's host based on the opening credits finally confirms that he is by the end of episode 12 with Trigger Dark using the Lishurian as his host.
- Meaningful Release Date: The series' premiere date (July 10, 2021) was exactly five years after the premiere of Ultraman Orb. July 10th was also officially declared as "Ultraman Day", simultaneously celebrating the franchise's 55th anniversary.
- Milestone Celebration: The series commemorates the 25th anniversary of Ultraman Tiga, hence the show being an alternate retelling of the former.
- Production Posse: Ignis (Kei Hosogai) and Maruru (Mao Ichimichi, under her stage name M·A·O) are Basco and Luka; the latter recently reprised his role in the Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger movie earlier this year. While M·A·O also voiced Raptor 283, her other Ranger role, and more recently Chibigaroo.
- Prop Recycling:
- Golba being repurposed from the Five-King/Tri-King suit comes as no surprise, as its name implies, the suit is fused from the Golza and Melba parts.
- The shuttle used to transport Kengo, Akito, and Yuna to school in episode 3 is a repurpose of the Gun Speeder from Ultraman Mebius.
- Role Reprisal: Kohshu Hirano is set to return as Haruki in an upcoming teamup episode in the series.[1][2]
- Word of God: Series director Koichi Sakamoto stated in an interview that Ultraman Trigger is neither a Continuity Reboot nor a sequel to Ultraman Tiga, but a standalone series and is advertised based on Ultraman Tiga to commemorate its 25th anniversary.
Koichi Sakamoto: The answer we arrived at was the approach of "recreating the impact that children had at the time of Tiga's broadcasting and the impact that it had on society in this era. Tiga fans may be wondering, "Is it a sequel? Is it a reboot?" But this work inherits Tiga's will in the sense of recreating Tiga's social phenomenon. That's it. I want the generation who doesn't know Tiga to know Tiga. |
- You Sound Familiar: Maxwell Powers, who voices the Transformation Trinkets in the show, had previously voiced Ultraman Max in the English dub of Ultra Galaxy Fight: The Absolute Conspiracy.
