Describe Wataru Takagi here- CRASH!
Er, ahem, step back and let me handle this.
The name's Wataru Takagi, 43 years old...
Great Seiyuu Takagi: ((Roll OP))
Episode One: In Which A Seiyuu Is Described
Alright, basically I'm this seiyuu from the Chiba Prefecture, but I do some stage acting on the side. Most well-known roles? Gotta be Valgaav from The Slayers, Genta Kojima and Detective Me in Detective Conan and the titular character in, well, of course...
Characters portrayed by Great Seiyuu Takagi[]
- Eikichi Onizuka in Great Teacher Onizuka (his Star-Making Role)
- Horada in Durarara
- Warrior Roar in Super Robot Wars
- Fernando Albark (of Super Robot Wars Compact 3's fame) in Super Robot Wars Original Generation Gaiden
- Valgaav in Slayers Try
- Genta Kojima, Wataru Takagi and Kamen Yaiba in Detective Conan
- Note that this came about when Megure's VA asked him, in an ad-lib during recording, what his character's name was, and he responded "Sir! I'm Detective Wataru Takagi!" It went so well that, even though he was originally created for the anime, Detective Takagi not only kept showing up in the anime but became a major character in the manga too.
- Garrod Ran in After War Gundam X, Super Robot Wars Alpha Gaiden, and Super Robot Wars Z
- Alberto Vist in Gundam Unicorn

- Jagi in Hokuto Musou (And after having Onizuka copy Kenshiro, and play something of a 'Kenshiro pastiche' (Fernando Albark), he played this guy, of all people.)
- Nezumi-Otoko in the fifth series of GeGeGe no Kitaro
- Kenji in Initial D
- Suezo in Monster Rancher
- Bellamy, Largo and Van der Decken IX in One Piece
