Not to be confused with Fatal Racing that uses the same title inside the States.
Whiplash is a 2003 platforming game for the PlayStation 2. You play a genetically altered weasel and rabbit handcuffed together and trying to escape an animal testing facility. You directly control Spanx (the weasel) while Redmond (the rabbit) is dragged along and used as bludgeon.
After breaking out of containment, Spanx and Redmond follow the advice of a mysterious voice in the computer system to try and escape from Genron while freeing other test animals from cartoonishly cruel experiments. A running secondary goal of the game is too smash stuff. There's actually a running counter at the bottom of the screen showing how much money the company has, and a little is deducted for every fire extinguisher you break. The platforming is relatively generic, but much of the fun of the game comes from the simple fact you're destroying a large corporation by bashing it with a rabbit.
- After Boss Recovery: When you defeat the giant spider-bot boss at the end of the power department level, you are rewarded with tons of Genron Hypersnacks, which causes Spanx and Redmond to level up a bunch of times in a row!
- Amusing Injuries: Poor Redmond.
- Big Bad: Franklin D. Mann, the corrupt CEO of Genron.
- Bland-Name Product: The Genron Corporation.
- Brick Joke: In Mann's introduction scene, a hamster he has in his office is shown trying to break out of its glass cage. At the end of the game, just before the credits roll, the same hamster is shown to have escaped Mann's office, though its still stuck in its cage.
- Cartoon Creature: A downplayed example; Spanx is officially a long-tailed weasel, but is mostly referred to as a thing. Redmond speculates wildly on what he is.

- Chained Heat: The basic premise.
- Corrupt Corporate Executive: Franklin D. Mann.
- Deadpan Snarker: Redmond makes up for his helplessness by lampshading everything he can.
- Die, Chair, Die!: With a vengeance.
- Early-Bird Cameo: Spanx first appeared (sans Redmond) in a foot-racing game for the Xbox launch called Mad Dash Racing.
- Epic Flail: How Spanx uses Redmond.
- Everythings Better With Bunnies: Including wrecking balls, apparently.
- Game Breaking Bug: In a demo of the game, there is a nasty glitch present that makes it literally impossible to complete. This is thankfully averted for the finished game, however.
- Grievous Harm with a Body: Poor Redmond.
- Heroic Mime: Spanx never speaks due to his brain being long-fried by electricity, though he still makes a grunting noise whenever he gets hit.
- Interspecies Romance: Spanx and Redmond are both attracted to Carol Ann, a nurse who is disgusted with the way Genron abuses the animals they use to test their products.
- Iron Butt Monkey: Poor Redmond.

- Mad Scientist: Tons, usually tormenting chimps in humorous ways until you show up.
- Made of Iron: Redmond has been modified to be indestructible. Feel free to beat security guards over the head with him and jam him in gears to stop them.
- Mega Corp: Genron.
- Not Quite Dead: A non-villainous variant; Enos initially appears to be killed by the humans who find his hideout, but he is later revealed to be alive and well after Spanx manages to upload the data cube into the company's mainframe system in the game's climax.
- Reverse Mole: Carol Ann's Establishing Character Moment shows her sabatoging a scientist's attempt to do an experiment on a helpless hamster, showing that she is secretly working against Genron. This is made more obvious when Spanx and Redmond find her office later in the game, where she outright states that she's taking the company down with their help.
- Rewarding Vandalism: Racking up the company's debt is the game's Sidequest.
- Shout Out: At the beginning of the game, when Redmond tries to figure out what animal Spanx is, Redmond calls Spanx "a Scrat."
- Token Good Teammate: Carol Ann is the only member of Genron who does not want to do any sort of harm to any of the animals.
- Unstoppable Rage: By hitting things/people enough, Redmond goes berserk and automatically sics himself on anything nearby.
