Wildfire was a 1986 cartoon by Hanna-Barbera, airing on CBS.
Wildfire, a magical talking horse, escaped with the infant Princess Sara from the magical land of Dar-Shan and took her to Montana. When she was 13, he came back for her and they attempted to save Dar-Shan from the evil Diabolyn and her Spectres. Sara herself had no magical abilities and usually succeeded by her wits and with the sometimes dubious assistance of a sorcerer, his apprentice and an orphaned colt.
Probably unrelated to the 1975 song of the same name by Michael Martin Murphey.
