Portmanteau Series Nickname: Though it was common before, this series, particularly with its caption-less logo, made it look quite likely that both "Pretty Cure" and "Precure" are canon, both for the name of the series and for the name of the group. The fansubs still use the "it's always Pretty Cure" approach, but another group that briefly expressed interest mentioned that they would use the "literal translation depending on what's used" method instead. Of course, since the latter group's YPC5 project seems to have vanished off the face of the earth...
